Setup Instructions

  1. Place the filament spool into the drying chamber. The dryer supports various spool sizes and filament diameters (1.75mm, 2.85mm, 3.00mm).

  2. Select the appropriate filament outlet hole (top or front) based on your 3D printer's inlet position. Use the provided guide tubes if necessary.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the dryer and a power source.

Operating the Filament Dryer

The SUNLU S1 Plus features a 2-inch LCD screen and two control buttons for easy operation.

Power On/Off

  • To power on, press the Left or Right button.
  • To power off, press both buttons simultaneously.

Temperature Setting

  • After powering on, press the Left or Right button to set the target temperature. The adjustable temperature range is 35°C to 55°C.
  • Refer to the material-specific temperature guidelines in the manual for optimal drying.

Time Setting

  • Hold the Left button to enter time setting mode.
  • Press Left or Right to adjust the drying duration (1-99 hours).
  • Hold the Left button again to confirm and exit.

Humidity Display

  • Hold the Right button to display the current chamber humidity (%RH).
  • Hold the Right button again to exit the humidity display.

Note: The operating temperature range for this product is 20°C to 35°C. If the ambient temperature is below 10°C, it may fail to start normally, which is considered a normal occurrence.

Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the filament path for any debris or blockages.
  • Keep the dryer clean and free from dust to ensure optimal performance.
  • Store the dryer in a dry environment when not in use.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Poor Print Quality (Stringing, Blobs, Poor Adhesion)

  • Cause: Filament has absorbed moisture.
  • Solution: Increase drying time or temperature within recommended ranges. Ensure filament is thoroughly dried before and during printing.

Dryer Not Heating

  • Cause: Ambient temperature is too low (below 10°C).
  • Solution: Operate the dryer in an environment within the recommended temperature range (20°C to 35°C).
