5. Operating Instructions
The GEYA Auto Recloser RCCB offers both manual and automatic operating modes, along with intelligent reclosing features.
5.1 Manual/Automatic Mode Selection
Use the AUTO/MANU selector switch on the device to choose between manual and automatic operation. In manual mode, the switch can be opened and closed manually. In automatic mode, the device will manage reclosing based on its programmed logic.
5.2 Automatic Reclosing Function
When in automatic mode, if a fault (e.g., leakage) occurs, the device will automatically disconnect and attempt to reclose after a set delay. The digital display shows the remaining time before reclosing.

Figure 5: Illustration of the self-locking mode. After a circuit fault, the breaker attempts to reclose at 10s, then 60s, then 300s. After the fourth consecutive fault, the circuit breaker enters self-locking mode and requires manual reset.
The device attempts reclosing up to three times with increasing delays:
- First reclosing attempt: After 10 seconds.
- Second reclosing attempt: After 60 seconds.
- Third reclosing attempt: After 300 seconds.
If the fault persists after the third reclosing attempt, the device will enter a "self-locking mode" (indicated by "000" on the display) and will not attempt further automatic reclosing. Manual intervention is then required to check the circuit and reset the device.
5.3 Resetting Reclosing Times
To reset the reclosing counter after the device has entered self-locking mode or if you wish to clear the fault count:
- Ensure the device is in manual mode (pull up the safety lock).
- Quickly toggle the button (likely the test button or a specific reset button, refer to Figure 3 for "Test Monthly" button) left and right three times.
- The digital display will reset to zero, indicating the reclosing times have been cleared.
5.4 External Control
The device supports external control for opening and closing via connected buttons, as shown in the wiring diagram (Figure 4).
5.5 Operation Demonstration Video
Video 1: A demonstration of the GEYA Auto Recloser RCCB's function, including manual and automatic mode operation, reclosing sequence after a simulated leakage, and resetting the reclosing counter. It also shows control via external buttons.
6. Maintenance
The GEYA Auto Recloser RCCB is designed for low maintenance. Regular visual inspections are recommended to ensure proper operation and check for any physical damage or loose connections.
- Periodic Testing: Utilize the "Test Monthly" button (refer to Figure 3) to periodically test the leakage protection function. This ensures the device is operating correctly.
- Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Safety Lock: When performing any maintenance or inspection on the connected circuit, always engage the mechanical safety lock to prevent accidental reclosing.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your GEYA Auto Recloser RCCB.
7.1 Device Does Not Reclose Automatically
- Check Mode: Ensure the device is set to "AUTO" mode using the selector switch.
- Self-Locking Mode: If the device has experienced three consecutive faults, it will enter self-locking mode ("000" displayed). Reset the reclosing times as described in Section 5.3.
- Persistent Fault: A continuous fault in the circuit will prevent successful reclosing. Identify and rectify the underlying electrical issue.
7.2 Digital Display Not Working
- Power Supply: Verify that the device is receiving adequate power.
- Damage: Inspect for any visible damage to the display or the device itself.
7.3 Manual Closing Not Possible
- Safety Lock: Ensure the safety lock is disengaged (pushed down) when attempting manual closing.
- Mode: Confirm the device is in "MANU" mode.
