Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and serious personal injury. Read all instructions before using this chainsaw.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate safety gear including a helmet, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and leg/body protection when operating the chainsaw.
  • Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate the chainsaw in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Keep children and bystanders away while operating the chainsaw.
  • Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
  • Chainsaw Use and Care: Do not force the chainsaw. Use the correct chainsaw for your application. Ensure the chain is sharp and properly tensioned. Always remove the battery when not in use, before making adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
  • Kickback Safety: Be aware of kickback. Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the chainsaw. Do not overreach.
  • Lubrication: Ensure the automatic oiling system is filled and functioning correctly. Always drain residual lubricant after use to prevent seepage during storage.

2. Installing the Guide Bar and Chain

  1. Turn the black cover removal lever and remove the cover from the chainsaw body.
  2. Install the chain along the groove of the guide bar. Ensure the chain blade is facing forward in the correct orientation.
  3. Insert the guide bar and chain assembly onto the chainsaw body, ensuring the chain is properly seated on the drive sprocket.
  4. Return the cover to its original position and lightly turn the black lever to temporarily fix it.
  5. Check the chain tension. If necessary, use the blue lever to adjust to the proper tension. The chain should lift off the bar about 1-2 mm but still move freely by hand.

Maintenance

  • Chain Sharpening: Regularly check the chain for sharpness. A dull chain requires more force and can lead to kickback. Sharpen or replace the chain as needed.
  • Chain Tension: Periodically check and adjust the chain tension. Proper tension ensures efficient cutting and prolongs chain life.
  • Lubrication: Keep the oil tank filled with appropriate bar and chain oil. After use, drain any residual lubricant to prevent leakage during storage.
  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the chainsaw, especially the guide bar groove and chain, to remove sawdust and debris. Ensure the air vents are clear.
  • Storage: Store the chainsaw with the guide bar protective cover in place, in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Remove the battery before storage.
