Setup and Assembly
Your DEEPOWER V8 Electric Bicycle comes 85% pre-assembled. The following steps detail the final assembly and initial setup procedures.
1. Chain Adjustment
Proper chain tension is crucial for smooth operation. Use the provided chain tool to adjust the chain if necessary.
This video demonstrates how to adjust the chain tension using the included chain tool. First, loosen the rear axle nut, then use the chain tool to push the chain up firmly to the very top. Tighten the rear axle nut. To remove links, secure the chain in front of the tool, push the thimble up, align with the center of the shaft on the chain, and push the pin out. Pull it out again. To re-install, align the chain and push the pin back in until it is flush. Pay close attention to ensure the pin is fully seated.
2. Chainring Cover Installation
The chainring cover protects the chain and prevents clothing from getting caught. Install it securely using the provided screws.
This video illustrates the process of removing and reinstalling the chainring cover. First, remove the five screws securing the inner cover. After disassembling, use scissors to cut off the inner ring. Then reinstall the outer ring and tighten the five screws.
3. Battery Installation and Charging
The DEEPOWER V8 features a removable 48V 20Ah high-capacity battery. Ensure it is fully charged before your first ride.
- Installation: Carefully slide the battery into its compartment on the frame until it clicks into place. Use the key to lock it securely.
- Charging: Connect the charger to the battery charging port and then to a power outlet. The charging time is approximately 5-6 hours.
- Removal: Unlock the battery with the key and slide it out for charging or storage.

The removable 48V 20Ah battery, certified UL2849, provides 50km in pure electric mode and 80km in pedal-assist mode with a 5-6 hour charging time.
4. Pedal Installation
Attach the pedals to the crank arms. Note that pedals are typically marked 'L' for left and 'R' for right. Ensure they are tightened securely.
5. Handlebar and Seat Adjustment
Adjust the handlebar and seat height to a comfortable and safe riding position. Ensure all quick releases and bolts are firmly secured after adjustment.
