Installation Steps:
- For desktop users, use native USB 2.0 ports. Always prefer rear-panel ports (direct motherboard connection). Avoid front-panel ports as extended cable routing can degrade high-speed signaling.
- Connect the Gustard device via USB. Power on. If no "New Hardware" prompt appears, try alternate USB ports. Power-cycle the Gustard USB interface.
- Run `Gustard_UsbAudio_v4.82.0_setup.exe` (or later versions). Click "Yes" in the User Account Control prompt.
- Follow on-screen instructions (click Next/Install).
- If a red error appears stating "Setup requires that the device is...", power-cycle the Gustard USB interface and re-seat the USB cable.
- Click Finish upon successful installation. Select YES for any additional prompts.
Foobar2000 DSD Native Setup

- Go to `Tools` > `SACD` > `Output Mode: DSD`. Click `OK` to complete.
Foobar2000 DSD Playback Troubleshooting
1. Why is ASIO missing under Playback > Output in Preferences?
Cause: ASIO component not installed.
- Drag `foo_input_asio.fb2k-component` from `foobar2000_DSD 0.7.X` folder into the blank area of Foobar2000's Components panel.
- Click `Apply` > Confirm restart prompt.
- ASIO appears after relaunch.
2. Why is SACD missing under Tools?
Cause: SACD component not installed.
- Drag `foo_input_sacd.fb2k-component` from `foobar2000_DSD 0.7.X` folder into the blank area.
- Click `Apply` > Confirm restart.
- SACD appears after relaunch.
3. Why does DSD playback fail with this error despite correct settings?
Cause: Version conflict between ASIOProxy and SACD decoder components.
Solution: Correct version pairing is crucial. Both must be 0.7.X series.
Common Issue: Older Foobar2000 installations using SACD component v0.6.X with ASIOProxy v0.7.2.
Options:
- Option 1: Update SACD component per Solution 2 above. If components are locked:
- Reinstall the latest official Foobar2000 release.
- Option 2: Without reinstalling Foobar2000:
- Install legacy driver `ASIOProxyInstall-0.6.5.exe`.
- Search online for verified download sources.
