2. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your GoveeLife WiFi Refrigerator Thermometer Pro Bundle.

2.1 App Installation and Device Pairing

  1. Download the Govee Home app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
  2. Register or log in to your Govee Home account.
  3. Power on the H5044 gateway and the H5112 sensor.
  4. In the Govee Home app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
  5. Select the H5044 gateway from the device list and follow the in-app instructions to pair it.
  6. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network during the pairing process. The device only supports 2.4GHz WiFi.
  7. Once the gateway is paired, the H5112 sensor will automatically connect to the H5044 gateway via Sub-1G communication.

2.2 Probe Placement

  • Place the main display unit (H5044 gateway) outside the refrigerator or freezer.
  • Insert the white temperature probe into the freezer compartment. This probe is IP68 waterproof.
  • Insert the grey temperature and humidity probe into the fresh food compartment. Note: The grey temperature and humidity probe is NOT waterproof.
  • Ensure the probe wires are not pinched by the refrigerator door seal to avoid damage.

  • The white temperature probe is IP68 waterproof and can withstand immersion in water.
  • The grey temperature and humidity probe is not waterproof. Avoid exposing it to direct water or high moisture environments where it could be submerged.
  • Ensure probes are securely connected to the main unit.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Device Not Connecting to WiFi

  • Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The device does not support 5GHz WiFi.
  • Check that the WiFi password entered in the app is correct.
  • Move the gateway closer to your WiFi router to improve signal strength.
  • Restart your WiFi router and the GoveeLife gateway.
