3.2 Using the Charging Strategy Toggle Switch

The LC12 charger includes a toggle switch to adjust the charging sequence, allowing you to prioritize charging for specific batteries:

  • Left Position: Starts charging with the leftmost 4 batteries first. It always charges 4 batteries from left-to-right.
  • Middle Position: Slow charge for all 12 batteries. The charger rotates charging every 10 seconds, charging 4 batteries at a time.
  • Right Position: Starts charging with the rightmost 4 batteries first. It always charges 4 batteries from right-to-left.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your XTAR LC12 charger or batteries, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Batteries Not Charging (Orange or Flashing Red LED):
    • Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
    • Reseat the battery firmly in its slot.
    • Check if the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the charger and a 5V 2A or higher power adapter.
    • If the LED is flashing red, the battery might be incompatible or faulty. Only use XTAR rechargeable 1.5V Li-ion batteries with this charger.
  • Charger Not Powering On:
    • Verify the USB-C power connection and ensure the power adapter is functional.
    • Try a different USB-C cable and power adapter.
  • Activating Over-Discharged Batteries:

The LC12 charger can activate and refresh low-voltage or over-discharged batteries, restoring their vitality. Simply insert the battery into the charger, and it will attempt to activate it.
