1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Godox iT32 TTL Flash with X5O Trigger. This all-in-one flash kit is designed for Olympus and Panasonic cameras, offering versatile and portable lighting solutions. It features automatic TTL, Manual, and Stroboscopic modes, along with Godox's 2.4 GHz wireless system for enhanced creative control.
Key Features:
- All-in-one TTL Flash Kit for Olympus & Panasonic: Compatible with automatic TTL, Manual, and Stroboscopic modes, and with Godox's 2.4 GHz wireless system, the iT32 kit with X5O trigger allows versatile and portable lighting configurations. Simply align the X5O trigger to the base of the iT32 and the flash will automatically recognize it for immediate attachment.
- Advanced Wireless Triggering System: Remove the X5O trigger and mount it on your camera's hot-shoe to control the iT32 flash wirelessly up to 20m. Used together (iT32+X5 mode), the X5O can also synchronize other Godox flashes, expanding creative possibilities (consult the manual for details). As a transmitting unit, it supports Godox X system illuminators, including AD100Pro II, AD200Pro II, AD600Pro II, AD600BM II, iT30Pro, V100, V480, and Lux Master, with a maximum distance of 80m.
- High-Speed Sync (HSS) & Intelligent TTL Control: Supports HSS 1/8000s, first and second curtain sync, and FEC adjustment. The TTL function automatically adjusts flash output to ensure balanced exposure between subject and background.
- Compact Design with Touchscreen & Integrated Battery: The clear touchscreen and simplified buttons make operation intuitive. The 7.2V 900mAh lithium battery offers approximately 70 minutes of use at maximum power and recharges via USB-C in about 70 minutes. The flash also includes an adjustable LED modeling light, a magnetic diffuser, color filters, and a mini stand — perfect for travel or outdoor sessions.
- Important Note on X5O Trigger Usage: The X5O trigger does not have a physical ON/OFF switch but uses LED indicators. It magnetically connects to the iT32 for charging and to display battery status. It contains an internal 3.8V 100mAh battery, which takes about 3 hours for a full charge and offers up to 16 hours of standby. Consult product details and the manual before purchase to ensure compatibility and correct use.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 On-Camera Mode
When the iT32 flash is attached to the X5O trigger on your camera's hot shoe, it operates in on-camera mode. You can adjust flash settings directly on the iT32's touchscreen or using the dial and buttons.
4.1.1 M Mode (Manual Mode)
In Manual mode, you control the flash power output. There are three ways to adjust flash power (from 1/1 to 1/256):

Regularly clean the flash unit and trigger with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the flash and trigger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the batteries are partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage to prolong battery life.
5.3 Battery Care
To maintain optimal battery performance, avoid fully discharging the batteries frequently. Recharge them regularly, even if not in constant use. If the unit will not be used for an extended period, charge it every three months.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Flash Not Firing
- Check Battery: Ensure both the iT32 flash and X5O trigger are sufficiently charged.
- Proper Connection: Verify that the X5O trigger is securely mounted on the camera's hot shoe and the iT32 flash is magnetically attached to the X5O.
- Mode Settings: Confirm that the flash mode (TTL, M, Multi) is correctly selected and compatible with your camera settings.
- Wireless Sync: If using off-camera, ensure the channel and ID settings on both the trigger and flash are matched.
- Camera Settings: Check your camera's flash settings and ensure external flash is enabled.
6.2 Inconsistent Exposure
- TTL Mode: Adjust Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC) if shots are consistently over or underexposed.
- M Mode: Manually adjust flash power output.
- Distance: Ensure the subject is within the effective flash range.
- Ambient Light: Consider ambient light conditions and adjust camera ISO, aperture, and shutter speed accordingly.
6.3 Wireless Communication Issues
- Channel/ID Mismatch: Double-check that the channel and ID settings on the trigger and flash are identical.
- Distance: Ensure the flash and trigger are within the effective wireless range (up to 20m for direct control, 80m for X system illuminators).
- Interference: Move away from potential sources of 2.4GHz interference.
