Operating Instructions
This section outlines the general steps for brewing beer using your VEVOR system. Specific recipes and ingredients will vary.
- Sanitization: Thoroughly disinfect all parts that will come into contact with wort or beer.
- Add Water: Fill the brewery with the required amount of water according to your recipe.
- Set Parameters: Use the digital control panel to set the desired temperature and time for mashing based on your beer recipe.
- Add Malt: Once the water reaches the target temperature, add the ground malt to the malt basket and begin mashing.
- Recirculation: Turn on the circulating pump and adjust the flow rate through the valve to ensure even mash temperature. Avoid directing the circulation pipe directly towards the overflow pipe to prevent bottom overheating.
- Sparging: After mashing, remove the malt basket and sparge with hot water to rinse sugars from the grain bed.
- Boiling: Bring the wort to a boil. Add hops according to your recipe using the hop spider.
- Cooling: After boiling, use the wort chiller to rapidly cool the wort to fermentation temperature (e.g., 20°C).
- Transfer to Fermenter: Transfer the cooled wort to a separate fermentation vessel using the pump or the tap on the boiler front.
- Fermentation: Add yeast and begin primary fermentation. After primary fermentation, prime the beer with sugar before bottling to achieve carbonation.
- Bottling/Kegging: Bottle or keg your beer. Allow for secondary fermentation/conditioning in bottles or kegs.
