4. Setup
4.1 Installing/Removing the Saw Blade
- Ensure the battery is removed from the saw.
- Press the spindle lock button to secure the blade.
- Use the hex wrench to loosen the blade bolt by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Lift the lower blade guard and remove the outer flange and old blade.
- Place the new blade onto the spindle, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of the arrow on the guard.
- Reattach the outer flange and tighten the blade bolt clockwise with the hex wrench while holding the spindle lock button.

4.2 Adjusting Cutting Depth
- Loosen the depth adjustment knob located on the side of the saw.
- Raise or lower the saw base to achieve the desired cutting depth. The depth scale is usually marked in inches and millimeters.
- Tighten the depth adjustment knob securely.

4.3 Adjusting Bevel Angle
- Loosen the bevel adjustment lever/knob at the front of the saw.
- Tilt the saw base to the desired angle between 0° and 45°. Refer to the angle scale.
- Tighten the bevel adjustment lever/knob firmly.

4.4 Installing the Battery
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on the saw handle.
- Slide the battery pack into place until it clicks securely.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting and Stopping the Saw
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- To start, press the safety lock button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger switch.
- To stop, release the trigger switch. The blade will come to a stop.
5.2 Using the Laser Guide
The built-in laser guide projects a line onto the workpiece, assisting in maintaining a straight cut. Ensure AAA batteries are installed for the laser function.

5.3 Making a Cut
- Mark your cutting line on the workpiece.
- Adjust the cutting depth and bevel angle as required.
- Position the front edge of the saw base plate on the workpiece, aligning the blade or laser guide with your marked line.
- Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the material.
- Push the saw forward smoothly and steadily through the material. Do not force the saw.
- Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop before lifting the saw from the workpiece.
