4. Setup and Installation
The SEGUMA EV Charger is designed for straightforward setup. Follow these steps for safe installation and use.
4.1 Choosing a Power Outlet
- Level 2 Charging (240V): Use a NEMA 14-30 dryer outlet. Ensure the circuit breaker is rated appropriately (e.g., 30A for 24A charging).
- Level 1 Charging (110-120V): Attach the NEMA 5-15 adapter to the NEMA 14-30 plug and connect to a standard household outlet. Adjust the current setting to 10A or 12A for safety.

4.2 Mounting the Charger
The control box and connector can be wall-mounted for convenience.
- Securely attach the control box holder and connector bracket to a sturdy wall using appropriate fasteners.
- Place the charger control box into its holder and hang the J1772 connector in its bracket when not in use.

4.3 Connecting to Your Vehicle

- Plug the charger into the appropriate NEMA 14-30 or NEMA 5-15 outlet.
- Set your desired amperage (10A, 12A, 16A, 20A, or 24A) and optionally preset a charging start/end time using the buttons on the charger.
- Connect the J1772 connector to your vehicle's charging port. The indicator will flash green to show charging has started.
