Setup
1. Battery Installation and Charging
The saw operates on a 20V battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- To install the battery, align the battery pack with the receptacle on the saw handle and slide it in until it clicks into place.
- To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.
- Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery pack into the charger. Refer to the charger's manual for specific charging indicators and times.
2. Blade Installation and Removal
Always disconnect the battery before installing or removing the blade.
- Press and hold the spindle lock button.
- Use the provided wrench to loosen the blade bolt by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Lift the lower blade guard and remove the outer flange and the old blade.
- Place the new 5-inch blade onto the spindle, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of rotation (usually indicated by an arrow on the saw and blade).
- Replace the outer flange and tighten the blade bolt clockwise with the wrench while holding the spindle lock button.
- Ensure the blade is securely fastened and rotates freely without wobbling.
3. Adjusting Cutting Depth
The cutting depth can be adjusted to match the thickness of your material.

Image: Illustration showing the cutting depth adjustment mechanism on the circular saw, indicating a range of 0-47mm.
- Loosen the depth adjustment lever/knob.
- Move the base plate up or down until the desired cutting depth is achieved. The scale indicates the depth.
- Tighten the depth adjustment lever/knob securely.
- For 90° cuts, the maximum depth is 47mm.
4. Adjusting Bevel Angle
The saw allows for bevel cuts from 0° to 45°.

Image: Close-up of the circular saw's base plate showing the angle adjustment mechanism, set between 0 and 45 degrees, with a maximum cutting depth of 33mm at 45 degrees.

Image: Close-up of the circular saw's base plate showing the angle adjustment mechanism, set at 90 degrees, with a maximum cutting depth of 47mm.
- Loosen the angle adjustment knob (often located at the front of the base plate).
- Tilt the base plate to the desired angle, using the angle scale as a guide.
- Tighten the angle adjustment knob securely.
- For 45° cuts, the maximum depth is 33mm.
5. Using the Parallel Guide
The parallel guide helps achieve straight cuts.
- Insert the parallel guide into the slot on the front of the saw's base plate.
- Adjust the guide to the desired width from the blade.
- Tighten the locking screw to secure the guide in place.
- Rest the guide against the edge of your workpiece during the cut.
Operating Instructions
1. Starting and Stopping the Saw
- To start the saw, press the lock-off button (safety switch) and then squeeze the ON/OFF switch trigger.
- To stop the saw, release the ON/OFF switch trigger. The blade will coast to a stop.
2. Making a Cut
Always ensure the blade is sharp and appropriate for the material.

Image: Visual representation of the circular saw cutting different materials including wood, PVC, plastic, and bamboo, demonstrating its versatility.
- Mark your cutting line clearly on the workpiece.
- Place the front of the saw's base plate flat on the workpiece, ensuring the blade is aligned with your cutting line but not touching the material.
- Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
- Slowly push the saw forward along the cutting line, maintaining firm pressure. Do not force the saw.
- Keep the base plate flat against the workpiece throughout the cut.
- Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop before lifting the saw from the workpiece.
3. Dust Collection
The saw is equipped with a dust port for connecting to a vacuum system.

Image: The circular saw in use, showing a 1-1/2" vacuum dust adapter connected to the dust port for a cleaner working environment. Also highlights the high-intensity LED light.
- Attach a 1-1/2" vacuum dust adapter to the dust port on the saw.
- Connect the adapter to a suitable shop vacuum or dust extractor.
- This will help keep your workspace cleaner and improve visibility during cutting.
4. LED Work Light
The integrated LED light automatically illuminates the cutting area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in low-light conditions.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool. Always disconnect the battery pack before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the saw with a soft cloth. Remove any sawdust or debris from the motor vents, blade guard, and base plate. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness, cracks, or missing teeth. Replace dull or damaged blades immediately.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge batteries before long-term storage.
- General Inspection: Check all screws and fasteners for tightness. Ensure all moving parts operate smoothly.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Saw does not start. | Battery not installed correctly or discharged. Lock-off button not pressed. | Ensure battery is fully charged and properly seated. Press the lock-off button before squeezing the trigger. |
| Saw loses power during operation. | Battery low. Overloading the motor. | Recharge or replace battery. Reduce feed pressure; allow the saw to work at its own pace. |
| Blade binds or smokes. | Dull blade. Incorrect blade for material. Improper cutting technique. | Replace with a sharp, appropriate blade. Ensure workpiece is supported and saw is guided straight. |
| Inaccurate cuts. | Blade not square to base. Parallel guide loose. | Check and adjust blade squareness. Ensure parallel guide is securely tightened. |
