6.2 Cleaning the Base Station

Wipe the base station with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the base station in water or use abrasive cleaners.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Temperature Reading: Ensure the probe is fully inserted into the meat and the base station is powered on. Check if the probe is properly seated in its charging slot on the base.
  • Poor Bluetooth Connection: Reduce the distance between the probe, base station, and your smartphone. Enclosed cooking appliances (e.g., ovens, smokers) can interfere with the signal; keep the probe-to-base distance under 16.4 ft in such environments.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Verify your home Wi-Fi network is active and the base station is within range. Re-attempt the Wi-Fi setup process in the Meatmeet app.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the probe is inserted correctly, avoiding bones. Calibrate the thermometer if necessary (refer to app instructions or Meatmeet support).
  • Base Station Not Charging: Check the charging cable connection and ensure the power source is active.
