Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the waffle maker and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before plugging in. The removable drip tray can be washed with warm, soapy water or placed in a dishwasher.
  3. Placement: Place the waffle maker on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the appliance for ventilation.
  4. Power Connection: Unwind the power cord from the wire storage. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is powered on and beginning to preheat.

Operating Instructions

This Novalife Waffle Maker is designed to bake two Belgian waffles simultaneously with its 180° rotating system.

Baking Waffles

  1. Preheat: Ensure the waffle maker is plugged in and preheated. The indicator light will signal when it's ready.
  2. Prepare Batter: Prepare your favorite waffle batter. (See "Recommended Recipe" below for a classic Belgian waffle recipe).
  3. Open and Pour: Unlock the safety handle and open the top waffle plate. Pour approximately 1/2 to 3/4 cup of batter onto the bottom waffle plate, ensuring even distribution. Do not overfill.
  4. Close and Lock: Close the top waffle plate and secure the safety locking handle.
  5. Rotate: Immediately rotate the waffle maker 180° using the handle. This action evenly spreads the batter across both cooking plates, ensuring consistent thickness and browning.
  6. Cook First Waffle: Allow the first waffle to cook for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, depending on your preference. The 1400W heating ensures quick cooking.
  7. Prepare Second Waffle: Once the first waffle is cooked, rotate the waffle maker back 180° to bring the uncooked side up. Unlock the safety handle and open the top plate. Pour batter onto the now-empty bottom plate. Close and lock the handle.
  8. Cook Second Waffle: Rotate the waffle maker 180° again to cook the second waffle.
  9. Remove Waffles: Once both waffles are cooked to your desired crispness, unlock the safety handle, open the plates, and carefully remove the waffles using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil. Do not use metal utensils, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
  10. Repeat: Close the waffle maker and allow it to preheat again if necessary before making additional waffles.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your Novalife Waffle Maker.

  1. Cool Down: Always unplug the waffle maker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Cooking Plates: The non-stick coating makes cleaning easy. Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or soft sponge. For stubborn residue, a small amount of cooking oil can be applied to soften it before wiping. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can damage the non-stick surface.
  3. Clean Drip Tray: The removable drip tray is dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning. Alternatively, wash it with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior stainless steel and plastic surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Storage: Once clean and dry, store the waffle maker in an upright position to save space. Use the integrated wire storage for the power cord.
