4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Outdoor WiFi Repeater.

4.1 Physical Connection

  1. Connect the PoE adapter to a power outlet.
  2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable (CAT5e/CAT6 with RJ45 connectors, less than 60 meters) to the PoE port of the adapter.
  3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the LAN1/PoE port on the Outdoor WiFi Repeater.
  4. Ensure the LED display on the device illuminates, indicating power.

4.2 Placement

For optimal performance, position the repeater in an outdoor location that is within the range of your existing WiFi router and provides coverage to the desired extended area. Avoid placing it too close or too far from the main router.

6. Configuration

To configure your device, connect a computer to the repeater via an Ethernet cable (to the LAN2/WAN port) or wirelessly to its default SSID (e.g., "MEETOWN-XXXX-2G" or "MEETOWN-XXXX-5G"). Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.10.1) to access the web management interface. Log in with the default username and password (typically "admin" for both).

From the web interface, you can select your desired operating mode (Repeater, AP, or Router) and configure network settings such as SSID, password, and IP address. Follow the on-screen wizard for guided setup.
