1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Rosewill RSV-Z2006 2U Rackmount Server Chassis. This chassis is designed for high-performance server builds, supporting ATX motherboards, full-size GPUs, and extensive storage options within a compact 2U form factor. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning assembly to ensure proper setup and safe operation.
2. Safety Information
- Always disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet before installing or removing any components.
- Wear an anti-static wrist strap to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to sensitive components.
- Handle all components with care. Avoid touching circuit board contacts directly.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the chassis to prevent overheating.
- Do not operate the chassis with the cover removed unless performing maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Keep small parts and tools away from children.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components listed below are present in your package. If any items are missing or damaged, please contact Rosewill customer support.

4. Product Overview
The Rosewill RSV-Z2006 is a 2U rackmount server chassis designed for robust performance and expandability. Key features include:
- 2U Rackmount Form Factor: Standard 19-inch rack compatibility for data centers and server environments.
- ATX Motherboard Support: Accommodates standard ATX motherboards.
- Horizontal Full-Size GPU Support: Designed to house a full-length, full-size graphics card horizontally. Note: A PCIe riser is not included and must be purchased separately.
- Massive Storage Capacity: Six 3.5-inch HDD bays for substantial data storage.
- Optimized Thermal Management: Five pre-installed 80mm PWM fans ensure efficient cooling.
- High-Speed Connectivity: Front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for up to 10 Gbps data transfer.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your components into the RSV-Z2006 chassis.
5.1 Removing the Top Cover
- Locate the screws securing the top cover to the chassis.
- Remove these screws and carefully slide the top cover backward, then lift it off.
5.2 Motherboard Installation
- Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the chassis.
- Align your ATX motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs on the motherboard tray.
- Secure the motherboard using the provided screws. Ensure all standoffs are used for proper support.

5.3 Graphics Card (GPU) Installation
The RSV-Z2006 supports a full-length, full-size GPU mounted horizontally. This requires a PCIe riser card (not included).
- Install your PCIe riser card into the appropriate PCIe slot on the motherboard.
- Mount the graphics card onto the PCIe riser and secure it within the chassis using the provided GPU bracket and screws. Ensure the GPU is firmly seated and supported.
5.4 Hard Drive Installation
The chassis features six 3.5-inch HDD bays. These bays are designed for hot-swap or tool-less installation.
- Slide each 3.5-inch HDD into an available drive bay until it clicks into place.
- Connect the SATA data and power cables to each installed HDD.

5.5 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
- Position your ATX power supply in the designated PSU bay at the rear of the chassis.
- Secure the PSU with screws from the rear of the chassis.
- Connect the internal power cable extension from the chassis to your PSU.
- Connect the necessary power cables from the PSU to the motherboard, GPU, and storage devices.

5.6 Fan and Cable Management
The chassis comes with five 80mm PWM fans pre-installed for optimal airflow.
- Ensure all fan cables are connected to appropriate fan headers on your motherboard.
- Route all internal cables neatly to improve airflow and aesthetics. Use the provided cable ties to secure cables.
5.7 Reattaching the Top Cover
- Carefully place the top cover back onto the chassis, aligning it with the screw holes.
- Secure the top cover with the screws removed in step 5.1.
6. Operating Instructions
Once all components are installed and secured, connect the power cable to the chassis and a wall outlet. Press the power button on the front panel to turn on the system. The pre-installed PWM fans will automatically adjust their speed based on system temperature, providing efficient cooling.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your server chassis.
- Dust Cleaning: Periodically remove the top cover and use compressed air to clean dust from fans, heatsinks, and internal components. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Fan Inspection: Check fans for any obstructions or signs of wear. Replace any noisy or malfunctioning fans to maintain proper airflow.
- Cable Management: Re-evaluate cable routing periodically to ensure it does not impede airflow.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your RSV-Z2006 chassis, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- System Not Powering On:
- Verify all power cables are securely connected to the PSU, motherboard, and wall outlet.
- Ensure the power button cable from the front panel is correctly connected to the motherboard.
- Overheating Issues:
- Check that all five 80mm fans are spinning correctly.
- Clean any dust buildup from fans and internal components.
- Ensure the chassis is in a well-ventilated area and not obstructed.
- Component Fit Issues (e.g., HDD, PSU):
- Some components may require careful alignment or minor adjustments. Refer to the specific component's manual for installation guidance.
- Ensure you are using standard-sized 3.5-inch HDDs and an ATX power supply.
- USB Ports Not Functioning:
- Verify the front panel USB 3.2 cable is correctly connected to the corresponding header on your motherboard.

The Rosewill RSV-Z2006 2U Rackmount Server Chassis comes with a 1-Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
