5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life of your Patiowell storage shed.
- Cleaning: Clean the shed periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the resin material.
- Inspection: Annually inspect all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Snow Load: While the roof is designed to withstand a significant snow load (up to 550 lbs), it is advisable to remove heavy snow accumulation to prevent excessive stress.
- Ventilation: Keep the vent clear of obstructions to ensure proper airflow.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Difficulty aligning panels during assembly. | Uneven foundation or panels not fully seated. | Ensure the foundation is perfectly level. Apply gentle pressure or use a rubber mallet to fully seat panels. Check for obstructions. |
| Door does not close or latch properly. | Shed not level, hinges misaligned, or debris in the latch mechanism. | Verify the shed is level. Adjust hinges if necessary. Clear any debris from the latch. |
| Water leakage inside the shed. | Improperly sealed joints, damaged panels, or obstructed roof drainage. | Inspect all panel joints and roof seams for proper sealing. Ensure roof drainage channels are clear. Check for cracks or damage in panels. |
| Condensation inside the shed. | Insufficient ventilation. | Ensure the roof vent is clear and unobstructed. Consider adding additional ventilation if needed. |
