Your guide to operating and maintaining your 1/16 Scale YU XIANG MD500 250-Class RC Helicopter.

1. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the helicopter to ensure safe use and prevent damage.

  • Always operate the helicopter in an open area, away from people, animals, buildings, and power lines.
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged before each flight.
  • Do not fly in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
  • Keep fingers and loose clothing away from rotating blades.
  • Supervision by an adult is recommended for users under 12 years of age.
  • Turn off the helicopter and remote control when not in use.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Carefully open the battery compartment on the helicopter.
  2. Insert the LI-POLY 11.1V (3500mAh) Smart Battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.
  4. To charge, connect the battery to the dedicated balance charger. Plug the charger into a power source. The charging indicator will show the charging status. Charging time is approximately 60 minutes.

3.2 Remote Control Preparation

  1. Install the required batteries (not included) into the 2.4G Smart Color Screen Remote Controller.
  2. Turn on the remote controller.

3.3 Pairing the Helicopter and Remote Control

  1. Place the helicopter on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Turn on the helicopter's power switch. The indicator lights will begin to flash.
  3. Within 10 seconds, turn on the remote control.
  4. Move the throttle stick (left stick) all the way up, then all the way down.
  5. The helicopter's indicator lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.

Familiarize yourself with the remote control's functions:

  • Throttle (Left Stick Up/Down): Controls altitude.
  • Yaw (Left Stick Left/Right): Rotates the helicopter left or right.

  • Roll (Right Stick Left/Right): Tilts the helicopter left or right for sideways movement.
  • One-Key Takeoff/Landing: Press the designated button for automated takeoff or landing.
