2. Safety Information

• Always assemble the unit on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
• Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before assembly. Contact customer support for missing or damaged parts.
• Do not overtighten screws during assembly, as this may damage the material.
• Keep small parts away from children during assembly to avoid choking hazards.
• Do not stand or climb on the kitchen island.

4. Assembly Instructions

The DWVO Kitchen Island requires assembly. A detailed step-by-step guide is included in your product packaging. Please follow the instructions carefully. Assembly typically requires two people.

4.1 Key Assembly Steps Overview:

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components and hardware. Refer to the parts list in the included manual to ensure everything is present.
2. Assemble the Main Cabinet Frame: Connect the side panels, bottom, and back panels using the provided hardware.
3. Install Interior Shelves: Insert shelf pins into desired height positions and place the adjustable shelves.
4. Assemble and Install Drawer: Follow instructions to build the drawer and install it into its designated slot.
5. Attach Tilt-Out Trash Cabinet Mechanism: Secure the tilt-out mechanism and attach the cabinet door.
6. Install Side Spice Rack: Assemble and attach the 2-tier spice rack to the side of the island.
7. Attach Stainless Steel Countertop: Carefully place and secure the stainless steel countertop to the top of the cabinet.
8. Install Folding Drop Leaf: Attach the folding mechanism and the drop leaf panel to the side of the countertop.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Folding Drop Leaf

The kitchen island features a foldable wooden drop leaf to extend your countertop space. To deploy, gently lift the leaf and pull out the support brackets underneath until they lock into place. To fold, release the support brackets and carefully lower the leaf.

5.2 Tilt-Out Trash Cabinet

The island includes a tilt-out cabinet designed to accommodate a 13-gallon trash can (not included). To open, pull the handle on the cabinet door. The door will tilt forward, allowing access to the trash can. Push the door back to close and conceal the bin.
