Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.

• Beverage Container: 1.8-liter capacity for preparing drinks.
• Lid: Covers the beverage container.
• Mixing Paddle: Located inside the container, ensures even freezing and mixing.
• Control Panel: Features buttons for power, mode selection (Slush, Frozen Juice, Mix Slush, Frappe, Milk Shake), and consistency adjustment.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Keep packaging for future storage or disposal.
2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, especially around the cooling vents.
3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the beverage container, lid, and mixing paddle with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
4. Assembly: Ensure the mixing paddle is correctly installed inside the beverage container. Place the container securely onto the main unit and close the lid.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Arçelik SM 6670 SlushUp™ offers 5 different beverage modes. This machine uses a special cooling technology that does not require pre-added ice.

1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Pour your desired liquid ingredients (juice, milk, syrup, etc.) into the beverage container. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (1.8L).
2. Select Mode: Turn on the machine using the power button. Select your desired beverage mode from the control panel:
   • Slush: For classic frozen drinks with a fine ice crystal texture.
   • Frozen Juice: Ideal for fruit juices, creating a thicker, more concentrated frozen consistency.

   • Mix Slush: A balanced slush consistency, suitable for various mixed beverages.
   • Frappe: For coffee-based or creamy frozen drinks with a smoother, thicker texture.
   • Milk Shake: Creates thick and creamy milkshakes.
3. Start Operation: Press the start button. The machine will automatically adjust the cooling and mixing process based on the selected mode.
4. Monitoring: The machine will indicate when the beverage is ready. The process typically takes some time depending on the initial temperature of the ingredients and the selected mode.
5. Dispensing: Once ready, place a glass under the dispensing spout and pull the lever to serve.
6. Keep Cold Function: The machine can keep beverages cold for up to 12 hours after preparation.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your machine.

1. Unplug: Always unplug the machine from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Disassemble: Carefully remove the beverage container, lid, and mixing paddle.
3. Wash Components: Wash the beverage container, lid, and mixing paddle with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Note: These parts are NOT dishwasher safe.
4. Clean Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
5. Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly.
6. Reassemble: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling the machine.
7. Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry place when not in use.
