Setup and Installation
This water heater can be installed either under a sink (floor-mounted) or on a wall (wall-mounted). Ensure adequate space and proper ventilation.
Installation Steps:
- Choose Location: Select a location that is close to the point of use, has access to cold water supply, and a 110V electrical outlet. Ensure the surface can support the weight of the unit when full.
- Mounting:
- Wall Mounting: Use the provided mounting kits. Mark and drill holes, then securely attach the unit to the wall.
- Floor Mounting: Place the unit on a stable, level surface under the sink.
- Water Connections: Connect the cold water supply to the 'Cold Water Inlet' (1/2" NPT) and the hot water outlet to the 'Hot Water Outlet' (1/2" NPT). It is recommended to install a pressure relief valve on the inlet side, as per local codes.
- Fill with Water: Before connecting to power, open a hot water faucet in your system to allow air to escape and the tank to fill completely. Once water flows steadily from the faucet, close the faucet.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the water heater into a grounded 110V/60Hz electrical outlet. The unit requires a 10A circuit.
Important: The water heater must be completely filled with water before it is switched on for the first time to prevent damage to the heating element.

Operating Instructions
The Nessxa Mini Tank Water Heater is designed for user-friendly operation.
Temperature Adjustment:
- Ensure the unit is properly installed and filled with water, then connect it to power.
- Use the rotary knob on the front panel to set your desired water temperature. The digital display will show the real-time water temperature.
- The temperature can be adjusted from 86°F to 167°F (30°C to 75°C).
- The heating indicator light will illuminate when the unit is actively heating and turn off when the set temperature is reached.
- The built-in thermostat will automatically maintain the set temperature, cycling the heating element as needed.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your water heater.
- Descaling: Depending on your water quality, it is recommended to descale the heating element annually to prevent mineral buildup. Consult a qualified technician for this procedure.
- Draining: If the unit will not be used for an extended period (e.g., during winterization in cold climates), it should be drained to prevent freezing. Disconnect power, close the cold water inlet valve, and open a hot water faucet to drain the tank.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your water heater, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No hot water | No power; thermostat set too low; overheat protection activated. | Check power connection and circuit breaker. Adjust thermostat. If overheat protection tripped, allow unit to cool and reset if applicable (consult technician if persistent). |
| Insufficient hot water | Thermostat set too low; excessive hot water demand; mineral buildup. | Increase temperature setting. Reduce hot water usage. Consider descaling if water quality is poor. |
| Water leaking | Loose connections; faulty pressure relief valve; tank damage. | Tighten all water connections. Inspect pressure relief valve for continuous discharge (a small amount of discharge during heating is normal). If tank damage is suspected, discontinue use and contact support. |
| Heating indicator light off, but no hot water | Unit not filled with water during initial startup. | Ensure the unit is completely filled with water before powering on. If the heating element was dry-fired, it may be damaged and require replacement. |
