Introduction
This instruction manual provides important information for the assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your HOMYEDAMIC Oversized Manual Recliner Chair, Model MB-LRSF. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and use to ensure proper function and safety.
Important Safety Notice:
This product requires assembly. Do not attempt to assemble if you have any physical limitations or are not comfortable with the assembly process. The footrest is not electrically unfolded and requires some resistance to close, making it unsuitable for the elderly, pregnant women, disabled, or those with leg injuries. Always use the product as intended and follow all instructions to ensure safety.
Setup and Assembly
Your HOMYEDAMIC Oversized Manual Recliner Chair requires assembly. It is recommended that two people assemble the chair, though one person can complete it in approximately 30 minutes. All necessary parts and hardware are included.
Packaging Information:
The product is shipped in two separate boxes. If you only receive one box, please wait for the second box to arrive before beginning assembly, as accessories may be split between packages.
Assembly Steps:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from both boxes. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Verify all components are present according to the included parts list.
- Attach Backrest: Align the backrest with the seat base. Slide the backrest into the receiving brackets on the seat base until it clicks securely into place.
- Connect Armrests: Attach the armrests to the sides of the chair. Ensure they are firmly connected and secured with the provided hardware. Note: In rare cases, incorrect screws for armrests may be included. If this occurs, please contact customer support for assistance.
- Install Footrest Mechanism: Connect the footrest mechanism according to the diagrams. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
- Final Checks: Once assembled, gently rock the chair to ensure all connections are stable. Test the reclining function before regular use.

Operating Instructions
Reclining the Chair:
- Engage Footrest: Locate the pull ring on the side of the chair (typically on the right side). Pull the ring to release and extend the footrest.
- Adjust Backrest: Once the footrest is extended, lean back into the chair. The backrest will recline freely based on your body weight. The backrest can be adjusted up to a maximum angle of 150 degrees. It can be locked at a 90-degree upright position.
The chair offers various reclining positions suitable for reading (90°), watching TV (around 120°), and napping (up to 150°).

Retracting the Footrest:
To retract the footrest, sit forward with your body leaning slightly forward. Grasp the armrests with both hands for stability. Point your heel at the center of the footrest and apply gentle pressure. The footrest will retract into the closed position.
Important Note:
The footrest closure requires manual force and may encounter some resistance. This design makes the chair less suitable for individuals with limited leg strength or mobility, such as the elderly, pregnant women, disabled individuals, or those with leg injuries. Always stand up only after the footrest is fully closed.

Care and Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your recliner chair.
- Cleaning: The fabric of this recliner is recommended for dry cleaning only. For minor spills, gently blot with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture.
- Frame Inspection: Periodically check the iron frame and all connections for tightness. Tighten any loose screws or bolts to ensure stability and safety.
- Fabric Care: Vacuum the fabric regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Avoid direct sunlight exposure for prolonged periods to prevent fading.
- Moving the Chair: When moving the chair, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the legs and frame.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your recliner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Footrest difficult to close. | This is a characteristic of the manual footrest mechanism, requiring leg force. | Ensure you are leaning forward and applying pressure with your heels as described in the "Operating Instructions" section. This is not a defect. |
| Chair feels unstable or wobbly. | Loose connections or uneven assembly. | Re-check all bolts and screws, especially those connecting the backrest and armrests to the base. Tighten any loose hardware. Ensure the chair is on a flat, even surface. |
| Missing parts or incorrect hardware during assembly. | Packaging error or shipping damage. | Verify all boxes have been received. Compare contents with the parts list. Contact HOMYEDAMIC customer support immediately for replacement parts. |
| Reclining mechanism not engaging smoothly. | Obstruction or mechanism misalignment. | Check for any objects obstructing the mechanism. Ensure the pull ring is fully engaged. If the issue persists, inspect the mechanism for visible damage. |
