Setup and Installation
The iMaihom flood light is designed for easy plug-in installation, requiring no complex hardwiring. The power cord length is approximately 4.92 feet (1.5 meters).
Installation Steps:
- Choose Location: Select a suitable outdoor location for mounting, such as a wall, eave, or post, ensuring it is within reach of a power outlet. The motion sensor should have an unobstructed view of the area you wish to monitor.
- Mounting Bracket: Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the mounting bracket to the chosen surface. Mark the drill points, drill pilot holes if necessary, and then fasten the bracket.
- Attach Light Fixture: Align the flood light fixture with the mounted bracket and secure it using the provided screws. Ensure the fixture is firmly attached.
- Adjust Light Heads and Sensor: Loosen the adjustment screws on the light heads and motion sensor to position them as desired. The light heads can be adjusted up to 90 degrees vertically and 110 degrees horizontally for the side heads, and 335 degrees horizontally for the center head. The motion sensor can also be angled for optimal detection. Tighten all screws once adjustments are complete.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard outdoor electrical outlet. For best protection, use a GFCI outlet and consider a waterproof outlet cover (not included) to shield the connection from elements.

Operating Instructions
Your iMaihom flood light offers multiple operating modes and adjustable settings via three control knobs located on the motion sensor unit: TEST, LUX, and TIME.

Figure 4: Location and function of the control knobs (TEST, LUX, TIME).
1. TEST Mode
Turn the LUX knob to the 'TEST' position. In this mode, the light will turn on for approximately 5 seconds when motion is detected, regardless of ambient light conditions. This mode is useful for adjusting the sensor's angle and detection range during installation.

Figure 5: Test mode allows for quick verification of motion detection and sensor range.
2. Motion Sensor Mode
To activate motion sensor mode, turn the LUX knob away from 'TEST' towards the 'moon' symbol (for night operation) or 'sun' symbol (for day and night operation). The light will activate when motion is detected within its 180° sensing angle and up to 72 feet detection distance.
- TIME Knob: Adjusts how long the light stays on after motion is detected. Settings range from 10 seconds (Min) to 7 minutes (Max).
- LUX Knob: Determines the ambient light level at which the motion sensor becomes active. Turn towards the 'moon' symbol for activation only in low light/darkness. Turn towards the 'sun' symbol for activation in both day and night conditions.

Figure 6: The motion sensor detects movement up to 72 feet within a 180-degree angle.

Figure 7: In Motion Sensor Mode, the floodlight illuminates upon detecting a person, car, or animal, and stays on for the set duration after they leave.
3. Dusk to Dawn (D2D) Mode
To enable Dusk to Dawn mode, turn the LUX knob to the 'D2D' position. In this mode, the built-in photocell automatically turns the light on at dusk and off at dawn. The motion sensor function is disabled when D2D mode is active, providing continuous illumination throughout the night.

Figure 8: Comparison of day and night operation in Dusk to Dawn mode.

Figure 9: The floodlight automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn in D2D mode.
4. Luminance Adjustment
The brightness of the light is fixed at 18000LM. However, the LUX knob also controls the ambient light threshold for activation in motion sensor mode. This allows you to adjust the sensitivity to surrounding light, ensuring the light only activates when needed.

Figure 10: The LUX setting determines the ambient light level for activation, from bright (2000lux) to dark (80lux).
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your flood light.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the light fixture and motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Annually inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, fraying, or wear. Check mounting screws for tightness.
- Obstructions: Ensure no plants, branches, or other objects are obstructing the motion sensor's view or the light output.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply. LUX setting too low (for motion mode). D2D mode active during day. Sensor obstructed. | Check power outlet and connection. Adjust LUX knob towards 'sun' or 'moon' as desired. Switch to Motion Sensor mode if continuous night light is not desired. Clear any obstructions from the sensor. |
| Light stays on continuously. | D2D mode active. Constant motion in detection area. TIME setting too long. | If continuous light is not desired, switch LUX knob from 'D2D' to motion sensor setting. Reposition sensor or light to avoid constant triggers. Adjust TIME knob to a shorter duration. |
| Light flickers or turns on/off randomly. | Unstable power supply. Sensor interference (e.g., moving branches, reflections). Loose wiring connection. | Check power source stability. Reposition light/sensor to minimize interference. Ensure plug is securely connected. |
| Motion sensor range is poor. | Sensor angle incorrect. Obstructions. Temperature extremes. | Adjust sensor angle. Clear obstructions. PIR sensors can be less effective in extreme heat/cold. |
