Each tag is equipped with a replaceable battery for extended use.

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your QCOQ Air Tracker Tags to ensure optimal performance and security.

2. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect your QCOQ Air Tracker Tag to your iOS device using the Apple Find My app.

2.1 Initial Activation

3. Operating Instructions

The QCOQ Air Tracker Tags offer several functions to help you keep track of your items.

3.1 Locating Nearby Items (Play Sound)

When your Air Tracker Tag is within Bluetooth range (approximately 60m in open areas, 30m when obstructed), you can use the "Play Sound" feature in the Find My app to emit a loud 100dB alert tone. This helps you quickly pinpoint the item's location if it's hidden nearby.

3.2 Left-Behind Reminders

To prevent leaving important items behind, enable the "Notify When Left Behind" feature in the Find My app. If your device moves beyond a set distance or time from your phone, Find My will automatically trigger alerts. If still disconnected after a timeout, it sends a final "Lost Reminder" with the last known location.

To enable: Bind device → tap its name → scroll to Notifications → turn on "Notify When Left Behind". You can also set "Do Not Disturb" zones to avoid alerts in specific locations.

3.3 Lost Mode and Sharing Location

If your item is lost and out of Bluetooth range, enable "Lost Mode" in the Find My app. This allows nearby Apple users to anonymously provide the Smart Tag's location to iCloud, increasing recovery chances. You can also leave contact information for anyone who finds your item.

Additionally, you can share the item's location with up to 5 contacts, allowing friends and family to track it together. Both parties must be running iOS 17 or later.

3.4 Navigation Tracking

Use the Apple Find My app to view your item's location on a map and receive directions to navigate to it, even if it's far away. This feature leverages Apple's global device network for continuous tracking.

3.5 Privacy and Security

The QCOQ Air Tracker Tag is MFi-certified, ensuring all communications are encrypted and anonymous. Location data is never stored on the tag itself, and even the manufacturer cannot access it. Your tracking records remain fully confidential.

The Air Tracker Tag also detects unwanted tracking attempts and alerts you instantly if an unknown tag is traveling with you.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

The QCOQ Air Tracker Tag uses a replaceable CR2032 battery, which typically lasts up to 1 year. The device will proactively alert you when the battery is low. A unique snap design prevents accidental opening by children.

To replace the battery:

  1. Rotate the stainless steel cover counter-clockwise to open.
  2. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the "+" side facing up.
  3. Align the cover and press gently until seated.
  4. Rotate clockwise to tighten and secure.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Location Accuracy and Update Frequency

The accuracy and update frequency of the location data depend on several factors:

  • Number of Nearby Apple Devices: The Find My network relies on other Apple devices to relay location data. More devices in the vicinity mean more frequent and accurate updates.
  • Bluetooth Status: Nearby Apple devices need to have Bluetooth turned on and ensure Bluetooth is active (connected state) to detect your tag.
  • Network Latency: Apple's network inherently has delays, and Find My currently cannot achieve fully real-time updates. It records the last updated location, which is not GPS positioning.
  • Environmental Factors: Actual effective range for "Play Sound" varies with environment and signal: approximately 60m in open areas and 30m when obstructed.

5.2 Device Compatibility

This product is compatible only with iOS devices (iOS 14.5 or later, iPadOS 14.5 or later, or macOS 11.1 or later). It does not support Android devices.

5.3 Tag Not Connecting

If your tag is not connecting:

  1. Ensure the tag's battery is not depleted.
  2. Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device.
  3. Make sure your iOS device is running the minimum required operating system version.
  4. Try restarting your iOS device and the Air Tracker Tag (by removing and reinserting the battery).
