  1. Prepare the Trailer: Ensure the trailer is on a level surface and securely chocked. Connect the trailer to a tow vehicle or use stable jack stands to support the tongue weight.
  2. Remove Old Jack (if applicable): If replacing an existing jack, remove the old unit by unbolting it from the trailer frame.
  3. Prepare Mounting Surface: Clean the mounting surface on the trailer frame. Use sandpaper or a wire brush to remove any paint or rust from the area where the jack will make contact to ensure a good electrical ground connection.
