1. Important Safety Instructions

  • Mix the fuel and oil in a separate, approved fuel container.
  • Shake the container thoroughly to ensure proper mixing.
  • Fill the chainsaw's fuel tank (550 mL capacity) with the mixed fuel.
• Chain Lubrication Oil: Fill the separate oil tank (260 mL capacity) with high-quality bar and chain oil. This oil lubricates the guide bar and chain during operation.

CAUTION: Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Avoid spilling fuel.

6. Starting the Chainsaw

The Baotree chainsaw features an easy-start system for reliable ignition.

1. Place the chainsaw on a firm, flat surface.
2. Engage the chain brake by pushing the chain brake lever forward.
3. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the bulb.
4. Set the choke lever to the "FULL CHOKE" position.
5. Pull the starter handle firmly and steadily until the engine "pops" or attempts to start. Do not pull the cord to its full extension.
6. Once the engine "pops," move the choke lever to the "HALF CHOKE" or "RUN" position (consult your specific model's instructions).
7. Pull the starter handle again until the engine starts.
8. Once the engine is running, disengage the chain brake by pulling the lever back towards the front handle. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before use.

Note: If the engine does not start after several pulls, repeat the priming and starting procedure. Avoid excessive pulling, which can flood the engine.
