3. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your spot welder for operation.

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the spot welder. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device and to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The display will indicate charging status.

3.2 Connecting Welding Pens

Insert the two welding pens into the designated ports on the front of the spot welder. Ensure they are securely connected. The design allows for flexible positioning of the pens, either from the front or side, to suit your working style.

Note: Using the front opening for the welding pens allows for greater flexibility and an effective usage length of approximately 40cm without winding. Side opening may require bending the wire and offers a shorter effective length.

3.3 Connecting the Foot Pedal (Optional)

If you prefer foot-pedal operation, connect the foot pedal board to its dedicated port on the spot welder. This allows for hands-free triggering of the weld.

4. Operating Instructions

This section details how to operate your Awithz UK1 spot welder.

4.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off. The digital display will illuminate upon power-on.

4.2 Understanding the Display and Controls

The Awithz UK1 features a digital display and a control knob for adjusting settings.

4.3 Selecting Welding Modes

The device supports three welding modes:

4.4 Adjusting Welding Parameters

Rotate the control knob to navigate between 'Mode', 'Gear', 'Trigger', and 'Cont Welds'. Press the knob to select a parameter, then rotate to adjust its value. Press again to confirm the setting.

4.5 Welding Process

Ensure the workpiece (e.g., nickel strip and battery terminal) is clean and free of oxidation. Use the included sandpaper if necessary.

  1. Place the nickel strip firmly against the battery terminal.
  2. Position the two welding pen tips onto the nickel strip, ensuring they are parallel and make good contact with the material. Apply slight pressure.
  3. Trigger the weld according to your selected mode (manual button, foot pedal, or automatic contact).
  4. Observe the weld. A good weld will be strong and clean. Adjust settings (Gear, Trigger, Cont Welds) as needed for optimal results.
