Setup
- Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the Awithz H1 using the provided Type-C charging cable. The power indicator lights will show charging progress and full charge status.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the nickel strip and battery terminals are clean and free of oxidation. Use the abrasive paper if necessary to lightly scuff the surfaces for better conductivity.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually integrated with the mode/gear button) for a few seconds until the indicators light up.
Operating Instructions
The Awithz H1 offers both automatic and manual welding modes and 11 adjustable power levels.
1. Mode Selection
- Automatic Mode: The welder will automatically detect contact with the welding surface and initiate a weld pulse. This is suitable for quick and consistent welding.
- Manual Mode: A weld pulse is initiated by pressing a button (refer to device markings for specific button). This provides more control over the timing of the weld.
- To switch between modes, short press the mode button. The corresponding LED indicator will illuminate.
2. Adjusting Welding Levels
- The Awithz H1 has 11 adjustable welding output levels (gears).
- To adjust the level, short press the gear adjustment button. The gear indicator LEDs will show the current setting.
- Start with a lower setting and gradually increase until a strong, clean weld is achieved. Test on scrap material first.
3. Welding Process
- Place the nickel strip onto the battery terminal where the weld is desired.
- Position the two welding pins firmly and squarely onto the nickel strip, ensuring good contact with both the strip and the battery terminal beneath. The fixed pin spacing is 0.8mm.
- If in Automatic mode, the weld will trigger automatically. If in Manual mode, press the trigger button.
- Observe the weld. A good weld will be strong and have a small, clean spot. Adjust the power level as needed.
- Repeat the process for all desired weld points.

4. Weldable Materials and Thicknesses
The Awithz H1 is capable of welding various materials with specific maximum thicknesses:
- Nickel plated steel: Up to 0.25mm (MAX)
- Steel: Up to 0.2mm (MAX)
- Iron: Up to 0.2mm (MAX)
- Pure nickel: Up to 0.15mm (MAX)

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After use, ensure the welding pins are clean. Gently wipe any residue with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the spot welder in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge the device to approximately 50-70% capacity. Recharge every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No weld or weak weld | Low power setting, dirty welding pins/surfaces, insufficient pressure, battery low. | Increase power level, clean pins and surfaces, apply more pressure, charge the device. |
| Excessive sparks or burn-through | Too high power setting, thin material. | Decrease power level, ensure material thickness is within specifications. |
| Device does not turn on | Battery depleted, device malfunction. | Charge the device fully. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Automatic mode not triggering | Poor contact with welding surface, device in manual mode. | Ensure firm contact with both pins, switch to automatic mode. |
