4. Setup and Assembly

The Casanoov EIGER gate is designed for self-assembly and can be adjusted to fit openings between 101 cm and 111 cm. The total height of the gate is 160 cm.

4.2. Assembly Steps

1. Prepare the Opening: Ensure your gate opening is clean, level, and within the adjustable range of 101 cm to 111 cm.

3. Attach XL Fixing Brackets (Dr-11.1a): Mount the two XL fixing brackets to the gate posts or wall according to your desired width. These brackets allow for precise width adjustment. Use a level to ensure they are perfectly vertical.
4. Install Hinges: Attach the gate hinges to the gate frame and then connect them to the XL fixing brackets. The XL hinges are designed to facilitate width adjustment.
5. Position and Adjust the Gate: Carefully lift the gate and place it onto the hinges. Adjust the position of the gate and the XL fixing brackets to achieve the desired opening width and ensure smooth operation. Ensure there is a small gap (approx. 0.7 cm) between the gate and the posts for proper movement.
6. Secure All Fasteners: Once the gate is perfectly aligned and operates smoothly, fully tighten all bolts and screws on the frame and hinges.
7. Install Lock Mechanism: Install the lock mechanism and handle set according to the separate instructions provided with the lock hardware.
8. Attach Aluminum Angles (DR-32): If there are any visible gaps between the gate and the posts after installation, attach the two aluminum angles (DR-32) to mask these spaces, providing a clean finish.

5. Operating Instructions

To open the gate, turn the handle and pull. To close, push the gate until it latches. Ensure the gate closes securely each time to maintain security. For locking, use the key provided with the lock mechanism.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Clean the aluminum surfaces regularly with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect all hinges, fasteners, and the lock mechanism for signs of wear, loosening, or damage. Tighten any loose screws or bolts.
