4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the Polibi Queen Size Platform Bed is required. Please follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the separate assembly guide included with your product packaging. Ensure you have adequate space and a helper for easier assembly.

General Assembly Steps:

1. Unpack all components and verify against the parts list.
2. Assemble the headboard and footboard sections.
3. Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard.
4. Install the bed slats onto the main frame.
5. Assemble the two storage drawers.
6. Assemble the Twin XL trundle bed frame.
7. Insert the assembled drawers and trundle into their respective positions under the main bed frame.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Using the Storage Drawers

The Polibi Queen Platform Bed includes two large storage drawers located on one side of the bed. These drawers are designed to slide smoothly on their casters for easy access.

• To open: Gently pull the drawer handle outwards.
• To close: Push the drawer inwards until it is fully recessed under the bed frame.
• Avoid overloading the drawers to ensure smooth operation and prevent damage.

5.2 Deploying the Twin XL Trundle

The Twin XL trundle bed is designed for convenient guest accommodation and slides out from under the main bed frame.

• To deploy: Locate the trundle at the foot of the main bed. Gently pull the trundle frame outwards from under the main bed. It will roll on its casters.
• To retract: Push the trundle frame back under the main bed until it is fully recessed.
• Ensure the area around the trundle is clear before deploying or retracting.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• For general cleaning, wipe the wood surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the finish.
• Promptly wipe up any spills to prevent staining.

6.2 Fastener Checks

• Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months), check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight.
• Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain the bed's stability and structural integrity. Do not overtighten.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Squeaking Noises

• Cause: Loose fasteners or friction between wood components.
• Solution: Check and tighten all assembly bolts and screws. If squeaking persists, apply a small amount of paraffin wax or silicone spray to contact points between slats and side rails.

7.2 Drawers Sticking or Not Sliding Smoothly

• Cause: Overloaded drawers, debris in the tracks, or misaligned casters.
• Solution: Reduce the weight in the drawers. Clean any dust or debris from the caster wheels and the area they roll on. Check if the casters are properly attached and aligned.

7.3 Trundle Not Moving Easily

• Cause: Obstruction, uneven flooring, or issues with trundle casters.
• Solution: Ensure no objects are blocking the trundle's path. Verify the bed is on a level surface. Check trundle casters for debris or damage; clean or replace if necessary.
