Product Overview
The HTZSAFE Perimeter Trip Alarm system consists of a portable receiver and two motion sensors. The sensors detect movement and transmit a signal to the receiver, which then alerts the user.
Key Features:
- Wireless Range: Up to 1/4 mile (400 meters) between sensors and receiver (actual range may vary).
- Detection Range: Motion sensors detect up to 35 feet (10 meters).
- Weather Resistance: Sensors are IP65 rated, suitable for outdoor use in rain and dust.
- Temperature Range: Operates from -30°F to 150°F (-34°C to 65°C).
- Rechargeable Batteries: Built-in batteries provide extended operation (receiver: 48 hours; sensors: 14 days on a full charge).
- Alarm Modes: Receiver offers Light, Sound, and Vibration alarm modes.
- Expandable: Receiver can connect with up to 4 sensors.

Setup
1. Charging the Devices
Before first use, fully charge both the receiver and the motion sensors using the provided Type-C USB cable. The indicator light will change to show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Receiver: Provides approximately 48 hours of operation on a full charge.
- Sensors: Provide approximately 14 days of operation on a full charge.

2. Sensor Placement and Installation
Position the motion sensors strategically to cover the desired perimeter. The sensors detect larger moving objects (people, large animals) and are designed to minimize false alarms from small critters or swaying vegetation.
- Mounting: Use the included straps to secure sensors to trees, posts, or other stable objects. Ensure the sensor is aimed towards the area you wish to monitor.
- Height: Mount sensors at a height that optimizes detection for the intended targets (e.g., waist height for people, lower for specific animals).
- Line of Sight: For optimal wireless range, avoid major obstructions between the sensor and the receiver.

3. Receiver Settings
The portable receiver allows you to customize alert preferences:
- Alarm Modes: Select between Light, Sound, or Vibration alerts using the mode button on the receiver.
- Volume Levels: Adjust the volume to one of 4 available levels.
- Melodies: Choose from 10 optional melodies. Different melodies can be assigned to different sensors for identification.

Operating Instructions
Once the sensors are placed and the receiver is charged and configured, the system is ready for operation.
- Power On: Turn on both the sensors and the receiver using their respective ON/OFF switches.
- Detection: When a motion sensor detects movement within its 35-foot range, it will transmit a signal to the receiver.
- Alert: The receiver will activate according to your selected alarm mode (light, sound, or vibration), indicating which sensor was triggered (if multiple sensors are paired).
- Monitoring: Keep the receiver with you to receive immediate alerts.

Maintenance
- Battery Management: Recharge the receiver every 48 hours and sensors every 14 days during continuous use to ensure reliable operation.
- Cleaning: Wipe the devices with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the devices in a cool, dry place and ensure they are fully charged before storage.
- Environmental Conditions: While weather-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme conditions beyond the specified operating temperature range.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your HTZSAFE Perimeter Trip Alarm, consider the following:
- No Alert from Receiver:
- Ensure both the sensor and receiver are powered on.
- Check battery levels of both devices and recharge if necessary.
- Verify that the sensor and receiver are within wireless range (up to 1/4 mile, unobstructed).
- Ensure there are no major obstructions blocking the wireless signal.
- Confirm the receiver's alarm mode is set to an audible or vibrating option, not just light.
- False Alarms:
- Adjust sensor placement to avoid detecting small animals or swaying vegetation.
- Ensure the sensor is stable and not moving due to wind.
- The PIR sensor is optimized for larger heat signatures; ensure it's not detecting small, rapid changes.
- Short Battery Life:
- Ensure devices are fully charged before use.
- Operating in extremely cold temperatures can reduce battery performance.
- If battery life significantly degrades, contact support.
