2.2 Connecting the Scanner
The NT-1962 offers dual wireless connectivity options: 2.4 GHz wireless via the charging cradle or Bluetooth (HID / SPP / BLE).
2.2.1 2.4 GHz Wireless Connection
- Connect the charging cradle to your computer's USB port. The cradle acts as the 2.4G receiver.
- The scanner will automatically pair with the cradle. No additional setup is typically required.
- Once connected, the scanner is ready for use with your laptop, tablet, or POS system.
2.2.2 Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure your host device (computer, tablet, smartphone) has Bluetooth enabled.
- Scan the specific Bluetooth pairing barcode found in the scanner's quick start guide or full manual to put the scanner into pairing mode.
- On your host device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "NETUM NT-1962" (or similar) to pair.
- If prompted, confirm the pairing code.
- After successful pairing, the scanner will be connected. If using a Mac, you may encounter a "Keyboard Setup Assistant"; scan any barcode and then close the assistant, selecting "US keyboard" if prompted.

3. Operating the Scanner
3.1 Scanning Modes
The NT-1962 supports multiple scanning modes to suit different workflows:
- Manual Trigger Mode: Press the trigger button to scan each barcode.
- Continuous Mode: The scanner continuously emits a scan beam, reading barcodes as they pass.
- Auto-Sensing Mode: The scanner automatically detects a barcode within its field of view and scans it without requiring a trigger press. This is ideal for hands-free operation.

3.2 Barcode Recognition
Equipped with a 1280×800 CMOS sensor and a 60 FPS frame rate, the NT-1962 accurately reads both 1D and 2D barcodes. It can read 1D barcodes as small as 4 mil and 2D barcodes as small as 5 mil.

3.3 Offline Storage
The scanner features offline storage, capable of holding up to 100,000 barcodes. This is particularly useful in environments with limited or intermittent network access. Scanned data can be uploaded to your system once connectivity is restored.
3.4 Data Formatting (Prefix/Suffix)
The NT-1962 allows for flexible data marking by adding prefixes and suffixes to scanned data. This feature can be configured to include information such as time, date, or other custom identifiers, enhancing data organization and tracking.

3.5 Scanning Challenging Barcodes
The advanced imaging capabilities of the NT-1962 allow it to scan barcodes from various surfaces and conditions, including:
- Damaged or scratched labels
- Fuzzy or blurred prints
- Colorful or low-contrast backgrounds
- Folded codes
- Barcodes displayed on screens (e.g., mobile phones, monitors)

4. Maintenance and Durability
4.1 Cleaning Instructions
The NT-1962 features an IP67 sealed and clean-ready design, making it suitable for medical environments. Its smooth, non-porous surface and IP67 construction prevent liquid ingress. To clean the scanner, wipe it down with a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or submerging the device.
