4. Installation
This water heater is designed for vertical installation only. Ensure sufficient space is available (suggested minimum reserved installation space: 30x30x25cm / 11.81x11.81x9.84in).
4.1 Installation Steps
- Prepare the Mounting Location: Choose a suitable vertical wall surface near a water supply and electrical outlet.
- Drill Holes: Mark the positions for drilling holes on the wall according to the water heater's mounting points. Drill holes and insert plastic expansion tubes.
- Mount the Water Heater: Securely tighten the water heater to the wall using screws. Ensure it is firmly fixed and perfectly vertical.
- Connect Water Pipes: Connect the cold water inlet pipe to the inlet nipple (bottom left) and the hot water outlet pipe to the outlet nipple (bottom right). Use the international G1/2-inch interface. Ensure all connections are sealed properly to prevent leaks.
- Fill with Water: Before connecting the power, open the cold water supply to the unit. Then, open the hot water faucet at the sink until a constant stream of water flows from it. This ensures the tank and heating element are completely filled with water, preventing dry burning.
- Connect Power: Once the system is filled with water and checked for leaks, connect the power cord to a properly grounded AC 110V outlet with a 32A or higher trip switch.

5. Operation
Operating the GDIFLS Electric Tankless Water Heater is straightforward with its digital display and touch controls.
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn the unit ON, press the 'ON/OFF' touch button on the front panel. The digital display will illuminate.
- To turn the unit OFF, press the 'ON/OFF' touch button again. The display will turn off.
5.2 Temperature Control and Display
- The digital display shows the current water temperature.
- The temperature can be adjusted between 20-50°C (68-122°F).
- Switching Temperature Units: To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), press and hold the 'ON/OFF' button for approximately 6 seconds. The display will change units.
- Temperature Adjustment: The water temperature is primarily controlled by the water flow rate. A higher water flow rate generally results in a lower temperature, while a smaller water flow rate results in a higher temperature. Adjust your faucet to achieve the desired temperature.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your water heater.
6.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
6.2 Filter Element Check
- If the water flow decreases significantly, check if the filter element at the water inlet is blocked.
- To clean the filter, turn off the power and water supply to the unit. Disconnect the inlet pipe, remove the filter, clean it under running water, and reinstall.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your water heater.
7.1 No Hot Water or Insufficient Heat
- Check Power: Ensure the unit is plugged in and the power switch (if applicable) is on. Check the circuit breaker.
- Water Flow: Verify that water is flowing through the unit. Insufficient water flow can prevent heating.
- Filter Blockage: A clogged filter can restrict water flow. Refer to Section 6.2 for cleaning instructions.
- Temperature Setting: Ensure the desired temperature is set correctly (controlled by water flow).
7.2 Leaks
- Check Connections: Inspect all water inlet and outlet connections for tightness. Tighten any loose connections.
- Damaged Pipes: Check for any visible damage to the water pipes or the unit itself.
7.3 Digital Display Not Working
- Power Supply: Ensure the unit is receiving power.
- Touch Button: The electronic touch button has excellent sealing performance. If unresponsive, ensure your finger is dry and making good contact.
