2. Compatibility
This RC-72T1 remote control operates at a frequency of 304MHz. It is compatible with various Hampton Bay and Home Decorators Collection fan models and remote control part numbers. Before attempting to pair, verify the FCC ID or model number on the back of your original remote or fan receiver.
Compatible Remote FCC ID/Models: A25-TX028, TX028C-S, TX028C-L, TX028-L, TX028-S, TX028-RS, TS028C-RS.
This remote is generally applicable to most pull-down ceiling fans. It is not suitable for standing fans or DC ceiling fans with 5 or more wind speeds.
If your fan's model or original remote's FCC ID is not listed, or if you are unsure about compatibility, consider purchasing a complete remote control kit that includes a receiver from the manufacturer's store.

3. Setup and Pairing Instructions
The pairing method depends on your original remote control or fan receiver. Please identify whether your system uses DIP codes or a LEARN button for pairing.
3.1. Pairing with DIP Codes
If your old remote or fan receiver uses DIP switches for matching:
- Open the battery compartment of your new RC-72T1 remote control.
- Locate the DIP switches (a series of small switches) inside the compartment.
- Set the DIP switches on your new remote to match the exact pattern of the DIP switches on your old remote or the receiver unit inside your ceiling fan.
- If you do not have your old remote, you may need to try the 16 possible DIP switch combinations to find the correct setting for your fan's receiver.
The separate dial labeled "O/D" is used for dimming. Select "D" if your light bulb supports dimming, otherwise select "O" for on/off functionality.
3.2. Pairing with LEARN Button
If your old remote or fan receiver uses a LEARN button for matching:
- Ensure the new remote has a fresh 23A 12V battery installed (battery not included).
- Turn the power to the ceiling fan OFF at the wall switch or circuit breaker.
- Turn the power to the ceiling fan back ON.
- Within 30 seconds of restoring power, press and hold the LEARN button on the new remote control for approximately 5 seconds. The indicator light on the remote will flash.
- If pairing is successful, the fan will turn on at a low speed, and the light will be off.
Note: To prevent faulty operation, disconnect power from all other ceiling fans within range while pairing.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Onisamt RC-72T1 remote control, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Remote Not Responding:
- Ensure a fresh 23A 12V battery is correctly installed in the remote.
- Verify that the fan's power is on at both the wall switch and circuit breaker.
- Re-attempt the pairing process (Section 3) to ensure the remote is properly synchronized with the fan's receiver.
- Fan or Light Not Pairing:
- Double-check the compatibility of your fan model with the RC-72T1 remote (Section 2).
- If using DIP codes, ensure the switches on the remote precisely match those on your fan's receiver.
- If using the LEARN button, ensure you complete the pairing sequence within 30 seconds of cycling the fan's power.
- Ensure no other ceiling fans are powered on and within range during the pairing process to avoid interference.
- Light Dimmer Not Working:
- Confirm that your light bulbs are dimmable. Some LED and CFL bulbs only support ON/OFF functions.
- Check the "O/D" dial setting in the remote's battery compartment. Ensure it is set to "D" for dimming functionality.
- Intermittent Operation:
- Replace the remote battery.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fan's receiver.
- Verify the remote's frequency (304MHz) matches your fan's receiver. Incompatible frequencies (e.g., 304.25MHz) will not work.
