Setup and Installation
1. Identify Your Phone's Main Camera
Before attaching the lens, it is crucial to identify the main camera lens on your smartphone. Open your phone's camera app in 1X shooting mode. Use your finger to block each rear camera lens one by one. The lens that causes the screen to go black or show a blocked view is your main camera.

2. Disable Macro Control (for iOS and Android)
To prevent focusing issues or a black screen caused by automatic lens switching, ensure your phone's macro control setting is disabled. This is particularly important for newer iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models.
For iOS (iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max, 14 Pro/Pro Max, 15 Pro/Pro Max, 16 Pro/Pro Max, 17 Pro/Pro Max):
- Go to Settings > Camera > Macro Control, and turn the Macro Control setting OFF.
- When the camera app is open, tap the "macro icon" (usually a flower icon) to disable macro mode if it appears.
- Once macro mode is off, you can proceed with shooting.

For Samsung Galaxy (S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S22 Ultra, S22/S21, Z Fold 5/Z Flip 5):
- Open the camera app and tap the close-up focus enhancement icon. When illuminated yellow, it is activated.
- Tap it again to turn it off.

3. Attaching the Lens
The APEXEL 10X Tele-Macro Pro Dual Lens can be attached using either the universal clip or a dedicated phone case (available for specific models).
Using the Universal Clip (6 Steps):
- Place the lens clip onto your phone, ensuring it is horizontal and flush without light leakage.
- Align the clip's opening with your phone's main camera lens.
- Tighten the locking screw on the clip for rock-solid stability.
- Align and screw the telephoto lens (with macro lens attached) into the clip.
- If using additional filters, align and screw in the adapter ring first, then the filter.

- Screw the lens clockwise into the corresponding hole for the main camera on the case.
Operating Instructions
1. Telephoto Lens Usage
The 10X telephoto lens allows you to bring distant subjects closer with enhanced clarity. The optimal focusing distance for telephoto mode is 39.37 inches (1 meter) to infinity. Use the focusing ring on the lens to adjust for sharpness.

2. Macro Lens Usage
To use the 10X macro lens, simply unscrew the telephoto lens from the main body to reveal the macro lens underneath. This allows for extreme close-up photography, focusing as close as 7.87-9.45 inches (20-24 cm) to capture intricate details of small objects like insects or flower petals.

3. Seamless Switching
The lens design allows for a seamless switch between 10X telephoto and 10X macro modes by simply attaching or detaching the telephoto component.

The included 17mm eyecup can be attached to the lens eyepiece, transforming the telephoto lens into a monocular for observation without your phone.
Important Notes and Warnings
- After lens connection, the default preview may show a black circle. Zoom in 2X or more until the black circle vanishes for a full view.
- Warning: The lens must be installed over the main rear camera of your phone. Installation over the ultra-wide, telephoto, or front-facing camera will cause dark edges, blurring, no effect, and will render the lens unusable.
