3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Wheel Assembly: Attach the universal wheels to the base of the grease barrel if not pre-assembled. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  3. Handle Attachment: Secure the push-pull handle to the grease barrel.
  4. Grease Filling:
    • Open the lid of the grease barrel.
    • Fill the barrel with the desired type of grease (0-3#). Do not overfill.
    • Close the lid securely, ensuring a proper seal.
  5. Hose Connection: Connect the high-pressure rubber hose to the pump unit and the grease gun. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  6. Air Supply Connection: Connect your air compressor hose to the air inlet on the pump's air regulator filter. Ensure the air supply is clean, dry, and regulated to the recommended pressure range of 6-8 bar (87-116 PSI).

4. Operation

  1. Prepare the Pump: Ensure the grease barrel is filled and all connections are secure.
  2. Connect Air: Connect the air supply to the pump. The air regulator will show the incoming pressure.
  3. Prime the Pump (if necessary): If using for the first time or after refilling, it may be necessary to prime the pump. Point the grease gun into a waste container and briefly activate it until grease flows consistently.
  4. Lubrication:
    • Attach the appropriate nipple (Japanese, American, or European type) to the grease gun, if needed.
    • Place the grease gun nozzle firmly onto the grease fitting of the component to be lubricated.
    • Press the trigger on the grease gun to dispense grease. Release the trigger to stop the flow.
    • Lubricate until the desired amount of grease has been applied or until resistance is felt.
  5. After Use: Disconnect the air supply from the pump. Relieve any residual pressure in the system by briefly activating the grease gun into a waste container.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your grease pump.

  • Daily:
    • Wipe down the pump and grease gun to remove excess grease and dirt.
    • Check all hose connections for tightness and signs of wear.
  • Weekly/Monthly:
    • Inspect the high-pressure hose for cracks, kinks, or damage. Replace if necessary.
    • Check the air regulator filter for accumulated moisture or debris. Drain or clean as needed.
    • Ensure the universal wheels are clean and roll freely.
  • Grease Type: Avoid mixing different types of grease unless explicitly stated as compatible by the grease manufacturer. Incompatible greases can cause blockages or damage to the pump.
  • Storage: Store the pump in a clean, dry environment when not in use.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your grease pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Prime the pump by operating the gun into a waste container.
  • Ensure grease is suitable for the pump and ambient temperature.
Low grease output pressure
  • Low air pressure
  • Loose connections/leaks
  • Worn pump seals
  • Increase air pressure to recommended levels.
  • Tighten all connections; check for air or grease leaks.
  • Contact customer support for seal replacement.
Air escaping from grease gun
  • Air in the grease line
  • Grease gun seal worn
  • Prime the pump.
  • Inspect and replace grease gun seals if necessary.
Grease leaks from connections
