Operating Instructions
1. Making Espresso
- Prepare Coffee Grounds: Use finely ground coffee. Fill the portafilter basket with the desired amount (e.g., for 2 or 4 shots). Tamp the grounds lightly with the included scoop/press.
- Attach Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the brewing head and turn it to the "LOCK" position to secure it.
- Place Carafe: Position the Tritan carafe under the portafilter spout.
- Select Brewing: Turn the knob to the "Brew" icon. The machine will begin heating and extracting espresso. This process typically takes 2-3 minutes for 1-4 cups.

2. Frothing Milk
- Prepare Milk: Fill a metal frothing pitcher with cold milk (whole milk is recommended for best results). Do not fill more than halfway.
- Activate Steam: Turn the knob to the "Steam" icon. Wait for the machine to heat up and produce a steady stream of steam.
- Froth Milk: Submerge the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Angle the pitcher slightly and move it up and down to create foam. Continue until the milk reaches the desired temperature and consistency.
- Stop Steaming: Turn the knob back to the "OFF" position. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

- Empty and rinse the drip tray.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
- Deep Cleaning (Weekly/Bi-weekly):
- Clean the shower screen (where water dispenses into the portafilter) with a brush to remove any coffee residue.
- Use the included cleaning tool (red pick) to clear any blockages in the portafilter holes or steam wand nozzle.
- Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
- Depending on water hardness, descale the machine regularly to prevent mineral buildup.
- Use a commercial descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
- Follow the descaling solution's instructions or run the vinegar solution through the machine as if brewing coffee, then run several cycles of fresh water to rinse.
