1. Setup and Initial Assembly

Follow these steps to correctly set up your JUSTHERO Electric Wheelchair MEH03.

1.1 Unboxing and Unfolding

Carefully remove the electric wheelchair from its packaging. Ensure all components are present before proceeding.

When folded, it is 11.8 inches wide and 27.5 inches high. It features 10.6-inch rear tires, 6.7-inch front tires, and six damping springs.

Unfold the wheelchair by gently pulling the backrest upwards until it locks into place. Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely engaged before use.

1.2 Battery Installation

Locate the battery storage area, typically under the seat. Insert the battery into its designated bracket and ensure it clicks into place. Connect the power cord from the wheelchair to the battery's charging port.

1.3 Controller Installation

The controller can be mounted on either the left or right armrest. Unscrew the pre-attached locking knob from the handle. Mount the controller onto the armrest and secure it with the knob. Connect the controller cable to its corresponding port, ensuring the positioning stopper in the connector is correctly aligned and installed.

2. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and features for safe and efficient operation.

2.1 Power On/Off and Speed Adjustment

Press the power button on the controller to turn the wheelchair on or off. Use the speed adjustment buttons to select one of the 5 available speed levels. The LED indicators will show the current speed setting and battery level.

2.2 Driving with the Joystick

The 360-degree joystick allows for precise control. Gently push the joystick in the desired direction to move. Release the joystick to engage the automatic braking system.

2.3 LED Light and Charging Ports

The controller features an integrated LED light for illuminating the path. Press the light button to activate it. Two charging ports are available on the controller for charging mobile devices.

3. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric wheelchair.

3.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery fully before first use and after each use.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place if not in use for extended periods, and charge it periodically.

3.2 Cleaning

  • Wipe down the frame and seat with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Keep the controller clean and dry.

3.3 Tire Inspection

The wheelchair is equipped with puncture-resistant honeycomb PU solid tires. Regularly inspect tires for any signs of wear or damage. While puncture-proof, extreme conditions can still affect them.

3.4 General Checks

  • Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tight.
  • Check the functionality of the brakes and joystick regularly.
  • Inspect cables for any fraying or damage.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your wheelchair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Wheelchair not powering on:
    Check if the battery is correctly installed and fully charged. Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the battery and the controller.
  • Wheelchair not moving:
    Verify that the power is on and the joystick is connected. Check if the auto-brake is engaged (if applicable, refer to the 'Manual/Auto Brake Switching' video). Ensure no obstacles are blocking the wheels.
  • Unresponsive joystick:
    Ensure the controller cable is securely connected. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Unusual noises during operation:
    Stop using the wheelchair immediately and inspect for loose parts or obstructions. If the noise continues, contact customer support.
