3. Setup and Installation
This product is designed for direct bolt-on installation using factory mounting points. No cutting, drilling, or modification is required for the main assembly. A drill is only needed to secure the upper license plate bracket with self-drilling screws.
3.1. General Installation Steps
- Prepare Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and verify against the parts list.
- Position Bumper Guard: Align the main bumper guard assembly with the factory mounting points on the front of your Subaru XV Crosstrek.
- Secure Main Assembly: Use the provided hardware to bolt the bumper guard securely to the vehicle's frame. Ensure all bolts are tightened to manufacturer specifications.
- Install License Plate Bracket: Attach the license plate relocation bracket to the designated area on the bumper guard. Use self-drilling screws for the upper portion if necessary, as indicated in the detailed instructions provided with the hardware kit.

5. Maintenance
The bumper guard features a dual-layer corrosion-resistant finish, consisting of a textured black powder coating and an inner E-coating. To maintain its appearance and protective qualities:

- Inspect all mounting hardware periodically for tightness and re-tighten if necessary.
