3. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your ice maker:

4. Operating Instructions

Operating your KEENSTAR ice maker is simple:

1. Add Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
2. Turn On: Press the ON button on the control panel to start the ice making process. The 'ICE' indicator light will illuminate.
3. Ice Production: The ice maker will begin producing nugget ice. The first batch may take slightly longer. Subsequent batches will be ready in approximately 5 minutes.
4. Ice Full Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the 'ICE FULL' indicator light will illuminate, and the ice making process will pause. Remove ice to resume production.
5. Add Water Indicator: If the water level is too low, the 'ADD WATER' indicator light will illuminate. Add more water to the reservoir to continue ice production.
6. Turn Off: Press the OFF button to stop the ice maker.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your ice maker.

5.1 Automatic Self-Cleaning

• To activate the self-cleaning function, ensure there is water in the reservoir.
• Press and hold the ON button for 5 seconds. The self-cleaning cycle will begin and last for approximately 5 minutes.
• After the cycle, drain the water from the unit.

5.2 Manual Cleaning and Draining

• Unplug the ice maker from the power outlet.
• Remove the ice basket.
• To drain the water, locate the drain plug at the bottom of the unit. Pull out the drain plug to empty the water reservoir.
