4. Operating Instructions

The TRIBEWOOD Farmhouse Wood Coffee Table is designed for residential indoor use as a central accent piece in living rooms, lounges, or family rooms.

  • Storage: Utilize the large upper tabletop (47.24" W x 23.62" D) for drinks, decorative items, or electronic devices. The lower shelf (44.1" W x 16.93" D) provides additional space for books, magazines, or storage baskets, helping to keep your space organized.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your coffee table.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the fir wood surfaces and metal legs with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, which can damage the finish.
  • Stain Resistance: The fir wood is not stain resistant. Promptly clean up spills to prevent staining. Use coasters under drinks and placemats under hot items.
  • Wood Care: Wood is a natural material that can react to environmental changes. Maintain a stable room temperature and humidity level to minimize the risk of warping or cracking. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Metal Legs: The metal legs are robust and require minimal maintenance. Wipe clean as needed.

6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter.

6.1. Table is Wobbly

  • Check Fasteners: Ensure all bolts connecting the legs to the tabletop and lower shelf are fully tightened.
  • Level Surface: Verify that the table is placed on a completely level floor. Adjust the table's position if necessary.

6.2. Wood Surface Cracking or Splitting

Wood is a natural material and can be sensitive to environmental conditions.

  • Humidity Control: Extreme changes in humidity (very dry or very humid environments) can cause wood to expand or contract, leading to cracks. Maintain a consistent indoor humidity level, ideally between 35-55%.
  • Temperature: Avoid placing the table near direct heat sources like radiators, fireplaces, or in direct, prolonged sunlight, which can dry out the wood.
  • Weight Distribution: Ensure weight is distributed evenly and the maximum weight capacity is not exceeded.
