Indoor Unit Installation

  1. Preparation: Ensure the wall for the indoor unit is hard and firm to prevent vibration. Reserve adequate space: 15cm above the ceiling, 20cm to side walls, and 230-260cm from the floor.
  2. Mounting Plate: Drill holes and fasten the pegboard horizontally and vertically using appropriate screws.
  3. Wall Hole: Create a wall hole (typically 60-80mm diameter) for piping, slanting it 5-10 degrees downward. Avoid pre-buried power wires.
  4. Wiring: Open the indoor unit cover, pass the power cable out from the back, and fix it on the terminal board with a clamp.
  5. Drain Pipe Preparation: Remove the knock-out panel with a knife and remove burrs to ensure proper drainage. Turn the pipe in the desired direction.
  6. Connect Pipes: Connect the connecting pipe to the indoor unit. Aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then use a torque wrench according to the provided table. Carefully check for any damage to joints. Joints should not be reused after re-flaring.
  7. Insulation: Use the insulation sleeve to wrap the joint part of the indoor unit and the connection pipe. Use insulating material to pack and seal the insulation pipe to prevent condensate water generation on the joint part.
  8. Drain Hose: Connect the water outlet with drain pipes, ensuring the connection pipes, cables, and drain hose are straight. Use plastic cable ties to wrap them, running the pipe sloping downward.
  9. Mounting: Put the refrigerant piping out of the wall hole. Hang the indoor unit on the peg board, moving it from left to right to ensure the hook is properly positioned. Push toward the lower left side and the upper right side until the hook is embedded in the slot and makes a click sound.
  10. Seal Wall Hole: To protect piping and wires, install a pipe protecting ring and seal it with putty.

Outdoor Unit Installation

  1. Placement: The outdoor unit should fulfill the requirements in the instruction manual regarding space to obstructions (e.g., 50cm above, 30cm to sides, 200cm air out side).
  2. Mounting Bracket: Use at least 6 expansion bolts to fix the mounting brackets firmly on the wall. Ensure the brackets are level.
  3. Secure Unit: Put the outdoor unit onto the brackets. Use 4 screws to fix the feet of the outdoor unit to the brackets.
  4. Connect Pipes to Outdoor Unit: Remove the nut from the stop valves. Aim at the pipe center of the stop valve, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then tighten with two wrenches. Ensure to retighten to prevent potential air leakage.
  5. Electrical Connections: Remove the electrical box cover. Connect the cables respectively to the corresponding terminals of the terminal board of the outdoor unit, following the wiring diagram (provided on the unit). If signals are connected to the plug, conduct a butt joint. Remove the grounding screw out of the electric bracket, cover the grounding wire end onto the grounding screw, and screw it into the grounding hole. Fix the cables reliably with fasteners (pressing board). Put the E-parts cover back in its original place and fasten it with screws.
  6. Vacuum Procedure: Before working on the air conditioner, remove the cover of the stop valve. Connect the stop valve, charge hose, manifold, and vacuum pump as per the diagram. Fully open the handle Lo of the manifold valve and apply vacuum for at least 15 minutes. Check that the compound vacuum gauge reads -0.1MPa (-76cmHg). After applying vacuum, fully open the stop valve with a hex wrench. Screw all the caps and tighten them up.

  4. Reinstall Filters: Place the dry filters back into the unit and close the front panel.

General Care

  • Outdoor Unit: The outdoor unit features Gold-fin condenser coils, an anti-corrosive base-pan, and automatic defrost for enhanced durability and reduced maintenance. Keep the area around the outdoor unit clear of obstructions to ensure proper airflow.
  • Seasonal Checks: Before the start of each cooling or heating season, inspect the outdoor unit for any debris or blockages and clean as necessary.

Troubleshooting

This section provides guidance on common issues you might encounter with your ACONEE Mini-Split system.

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Electricity Leakage: If you detect any electricity leakage during operation, immediately turn off the power supply to the unit and contact a qualified technician for further examination and repair.
  • Water Drainage: During trial operation, pour 500ml of water along the evaporator (about 20 seconds) to check if water drains normally and if there is any leakage around the indoor unit. Ensure the drain hose is clear and properly sloped.
  • Unusual Noises or Odors: If the unit produces unusual noises or odors, turn it off and contact customer support.
  • Reduced Performance: Check if air filters are clean. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the indoor or outdoor unit's airflow. Verify that the set temperature is appropriate for the room size and conditions.

Important: Do not install or repair the air conditioner by yourself as wrong installation or maintenance may cause electric shock or fire. Please contact a professional technician to save your time and money.
