Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the M5 Ultra using the provided USB-C cable and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The device's battery life is approximately 11 hours on a full charge.
2. Inserting a Micro SD Card
The M5 Ultra supports Micro SD cards up to 2 TB for expanded storage. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the device. Gently insert the Micro SD card with the contacts facing down until it clicks into place. To remove, push the card in slightly until it springs out.
3. Powering On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off menu appears on the screen. Select 'Power Off'. A short press will turn the screen on/off.
4. Connecting Headphones
The M5 Ultra offers both 3.5mm Single-Ended and 4.4mm Balanced headphone outputs. Connect your headphones to the appropriate port. Ensure the connector is fully inserted.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Navigation (MTouch 4.0 OS)

The device features a 4.7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen. Navigate through menus and options by tapping and swiping. The MTouch 4.0 OS provides an intuitive user experience.
2. Playing Music
- Access your music library through the main menu.
- The M5 Ultra supports various audio formats including MP3, AAC, FLAC, WAV, WMA, OGG, APE, AIFF, ALAC, M4A, MP2, AC3, and OPUS.
- It natively decodes high-resolution files up to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32bit.
3. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the physical volume wheel located on the side of the device. The M5 Ultra features an engraved volume wheel for precise control.
4. Bluetooth Connectivity
The M5 Ultra supports Bluetooth 5.2 with codecs like LDAC and aptX HD. To pair with Bluetooth headphones or speakers:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Turn Bluetooth on and scan for devices.
- Select your desired device from the list to pair.
The device can also function as a Bluetooth receiver.
5. Wi-Fi Connectivity (DLNA & AirPlay)
Connect the M5 Ultra to a Wi-Fi network for features like DLNA and AirPlay:
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Select your network and enter the password if required.
Once connected, you can stream music from compatible devices via DLNA or AirPlay.
6. USB DAC Functionality
The M5 Ultra can be used as an external USB DAC for your computer. Connect the device to your computer using a USB-C cable. Select the USB DAC mode on the M5 Ultra when prompted.
7. SyncLink with Eddict Player App
For seamless remote control, download the Eddict Player app on your smartphone. Enable SyncLink in the M5 Ultra's settings and follow the app's instructions to connect.
8. Digital Filters
