3. Setup

Charging the Jump Starter

Before initial use, fully charge the AIMAPOW A20. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the jump starter's input port and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator lights will illuminate to show the charging progress. Ensure the unit is fully charged for optimal performance, especially before storing it for extended periods.

4. Operating Instructions

Jump Starting a Vehicle

  1. Ensure the jump starter is sufficiently charged (green or blue indicator lights).
  2. Connect the smart jumper cables to the jump starter unit.
  3. Attach the red (positive) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  4. Attach the black (negative) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  5. Observe the indicator light on the smart clamp:
    • If the light is solid green, proceed to step 6.
    • If the light does not come on or is flashing, press and hold the 'Force Start' button on the smart clamp for approximately 3 seconds until it turns solid green. Note: Using 'Force Start' bypasses safety protections.
  6. Start your vehicle's engine.
  7. Once the engine starts, immediately remove the smart clamps from the vehicle battery, then disconnect them from the jump starter unit.

Using as a Power Bank

The AIMAPOW A20 features two USB output ports to charge your electronic devices. Connect your device's charging cable to one of the USB output ports on the jump starter. The unit will automatically begin charging your device. It can charge smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other USB-powered devices.

Using the Emergency Flashlight

The built-in LED flashlight offers three modes for various situations:

  • Lighting Mode: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the steady light.
  • Strobe Mode: Press the power button once more to activate the flashing strobe light.
  • SOS Mode: Press the power button a third time to activate the SOS signal.

To turn off the flashlight, press the power button again after SOS mode, or press and hold the power button for 3 seconds in any mode.

5. Maintenance

Storage

Store the jump starter in its protective carrying case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the unit is charged to at least 50% before storing for long periods to maintain battery health.

Recharging

Recharge the unit every 3-6 months, even if not used, to prolong battery life. If the battery indicator shows low charge, recharge it as soon as possible.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Unit does not turn on: Ensure the unit is charged. If not, connect it to a power source using the USB Type-C cable.
