4. Setup

4.1 Assembling the Modules

  1. Align the desired modules (Bluetooth remote, charging grip, magnetic stand).
  2. Use the quick-release mechanism to securely attach them. Ensure they click into place for stability.

4.2 Attaching Your Smartphone

  • For MagSafe-compatible phones (iPhone 12-17): Simply align your phone with the magnetic wireless charging stand. The strong magnets will secure it in place.
  • For non-MagSafe phones (Android 14 and others): Attach the included magnetic ring to the back of your phone or phone case. Ensure the ring is centered for optimal magnetic adhesion. Then, attach your phone to the magnetic wireless charging stand.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the MagCam 2 Bluetooth remote is charged.
  2. Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth Pairing button on the remote until the status indicator flashes, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and select "PGYTECH MagCam 2" from the list of available devices to pair.
  4. Once paired, the status indicator will show a solid light. The remote will automatically reconnect to your phone when in range.

Before pairing, activate the following settings for full functionality, especially for zoom control:

  1. Go to your iPhone's Settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Using the Bluetooth Remote

  • Photo/Video Capture: Press the Shutter/Record button once to take a photo or start/stop video recording. A half-press can be used for focusing.
  • Zoom Control: Use the Zoom Adjustment button or the customizable scroll wheel to zoom in or out.
  • Mode Switching: Press the Mode Change button to cycle through different camera modes (e.g., photo, video, slow-motion).
  • Camera Flip: Use the Camera Flip function to switch between your phone's front and rear cameras.

5.2 Using as a Desktop Stand

When the charging grip and magnetic stand are combined, the MagCam 2 can be used as a stable desktop stand. Adjust the angle up to 58° for optimal viewing during video calls, content consumption, or editing.

5.3 PGYTECH Imaging App (for iPhone Users)

iPhone users can download the PGYTECH Pro Imaging App from the App Store to unlock advanced photo and video functions, including manual controls, professional filters, and custom watermarks. Android users can utilize their native camera app for extended control.

6. Charging

The MagCam 2 features an integrated 3000mAh battery within the grip module, providing power for both the remote and wireless charging for your smartphone.

  • Charging the MagCam 2: Connect a Type-C cable to the 10W Type-C input port on the charging grip. The status indicators will show charging progress.
  • Wireless Charging Your Smartphone: Once your smartphone is magnetically attached to the stand, wireless charging will begin automatically if the MagCam 2 has sufficient power. The MagCam 2 also recharges the Bluetooth remote when the smartphone is wirelessly charged via the grip.
  • Power Output: The grip provides 5V/1A via PIN output and 5V/2A via Type-C output. Wireless charging output is 5V/1A.

7. Maintenance
