- Turning On: Rotate the desired control knob clockwise from the 'OFF' position. The indicator light for that burner will illuminate, signaling that the heating element is active.
- Temperature Adjustment: Continue rotating the knob to select the desired heat level, from 1 (low) to 5 (high/max). The temperature light will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature automatically.
- Cookware Placement: Place your flat-bottomed cookware directly onto the heating element. Ensure the cookware is dry before placing it on the hot plate.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your hot plate.
- Cleaning: Always unplug the hot plate and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the surface with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.
- Storage: Store the hot plate in a dry place when not in use.
- Avoid Water Immersion: Never immerse the hot plate, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
Troubleshooting
- Hot Plate Not Heating:
- Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the control knob is turned to an active heat setting (not 'OFF').
- Verify that the power outlet is functional by testing it with another appliance.
- Indicator Light Not On:
- The indicator light cycles on and off to maintain the set temperature. If it's off, it might be in a cooling cycle or the unit is off.
- If the unit is on and not heating, refer to 'Hot Plate Not Heating' above.
- Unit Emits Odor/Smoke on First Use:
- This is normal for initial use as manufacturing residues burn off. Ensure good ventilation. The odor should dissipate after a few minutes.
- Unit Gets Hot During Operation:
- It is normal for the machine to get hot during operation due to its higher calorific value. Always use caution and avoid touching hot surfaces.
