Follow these steps to make a perfect espresso:
- Turn on the power switch. Wait for the machine to heat up until the touch screen displays the desired temperature (e.g., 199°F).
- Grind fresh coffee beans to a fine consistency, similar to fine table salt, suitable for espresso.
- Add about 18 grams of fresh coffee powder to the filter basket. Flatten it with a coffee distributor and then press it with a tamper. The amount of powder should be around the groove line of the filter basket (9-12g for single, 17-20g for double).
- Press the manual coffee making button to drain some water and warm up the group head. Press it again to turn off the water.
- Align the portafilter handle with the left 45-degree triangle mark and tighten it from left to right to install it on the group head.

The drip tray is detachable for easy cleaning. The large 57oz removable water tank should be cleaned regularly.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Poor Espresso Extraction: This can be caused by incomplete machine preheating, coarse or insufficient coffee grounds, or low tamping pressure. Ensure coffee freshness, as oils can evaporate with prolonged air exposure, reducing pressure.
- Water Shortage Reminder (F-3): If the touch display shows "F-3", it means the water tank lacks water. Please refill it with filtered water (between the maximum and minimum level marks).
- Brew Boiler NTC Error (E-1): If the touch display shows "E-1", it means that the brew boiler NTC is open or short-circuited, or the temperature is below 32°F / 0°C. Make sure to use the machine in an environment above 32°F / 0°C. Please contact customer service or a maintenance specialist for assistance.
- Steam Thermocouple Error (E-3): If the touch display shows "E-3", it means that the steam thermocouple is open or short-circuited. Please contact customer service or a maintenance specialist for assistance.
- Steam Thermoblock NTC Error (E-4): If the touch display shows "E-4", it means that the steam thermoblock NTC is open or short-circuited, or the temperature is below 32°F / 0°C. Make sure to use the machine in an environment above 32°F / 0°C. Please contact customer service or a maintenance specialist for assistance.
