Setup
- Attach the Neck: Select either the Pro Mechanical Neck or the Solo Mechanical Neck. Align the neck with the body of the guitar controller and gently slide it into place until it clicks securely. Ensure a firm connection.
- Power On: Locate the power button on the guitar body. Press and hold it until the indicator lights illuminate.
- Select Platform Mode: Use the mode dial on the guitar body to select the appropriate platform: PC, PC handhelds, Nintendo Switch 1|2, Android devices, PlayStation 5, or PlayStation 4.
- Connect to Device:
- Wireless (2.4 GHz): Insert the wireless USB dongle into an available USB port on your gaming device. The controller should automatically pair.
- Bluetooth: Activate Bluetooth on your device and search for 'CRKD Guitar Controller'. Select to pair.
- Wired: Connect the USB-C cable from the guitar controller to your gaming device.
- KEYJAM Mode (PC/Xbox/PlayStation for Fortnite Festival): For Fortnite Festival, switch the mode dial to Mode 9. This transforms the guitar controller into a keyboard and mouse, mapping fret buttons and the strum bar to keyboard controls, and the right thumbstick to mouse navigation. This offers a plug-and-play experience for song selection and gameplay.

- Storage: When not in use, store the controller in the provided Gibson/CRKD Guitar Backpack to protect it from dust and damage.
- Battery: The controller includes a nonstandard rechargeable battery. Charge as needed using the provided USB-C cable.
Troubleshooting
- Connectivity Issues: Ensure the controller is in the correct platform mode. Re-pair via Bluetooth or re-insert the USB dongle. Try a wired connection to rule out wireless interference.
- Button/Strum Bar Unresponsiveness: Check battery level. Ensure the neck is securely attached. Update firmware via the CRKD CTRL app.
- Lag/Input Delay: Ensure firmware is up to date. For PC, a wired connection or the 2.4 GHz dongle typically offers lower latency than Bluetooth.
- RGB Lights Not Working: Check settings in the CRKD CTRL app to ensure RGB is enabled and brightness is adjusted.
