5. Installation
5.1. Transformer Placement
- Mount the transformer in a suitable outdoor location, ensuring it is protected from direct heavy rain and snow, and is easily accessible.
- The transformer must be installed vertically with the output terminals facing downwards.
- Ensure the 3.3ft power cord can reach a grounded 120V AC outdoor outlet.
- The 6ft photocell sensor cord allows for flexible placement of the sensor to optimize dusk-to-dawn detection.
5.2. Connecting Landscape Lights
Follow these steps to connect your low-voltage landscape lights to the transformer using appropriate low-voltage wiring (not included).
- Prepare Wires: Separate the two conductors of the low-voltage wire approximately 1 inch at the connection point.
- Install First Tap: Insert one conductor into the screw pin connector on the light fixture.
- Screw Pin into Power Cable: Securely screw the pin into the main low-voltage power cable, ensuring good contact.
- Install End Tap: Insert the second conductor into the other screw pin connector on the light fixture.
- Tighten Screw Collar: Tighten the screw collar to secure both conductors and ensure a waterproof seal.
- Pull Test: Gently pull on the wires to confirm they are securely connected.

Important Note: Low-voltage wires and additional connectors are not included with this bundle and must be purchased separately.
6. Operation
6.1. Setting the Clock
- Press the CLOCK button. The hour digits will flash.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to set the current hour.
- Press CLOCK again. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to set the current minute.
- Press CLOCK to confirm and exit clock setting.
6.2. Operating Modes
The transformer offers six operating modes to suit various lighting needs. Press the MENU button to cycle through the modes.

Figure 6: Overview of the six available operating modes: Manual On/Off, Auto On/Off, Timer Mode, Countdown Mode, Dusk On Timer Off, and Test Mode.
- OFF: Lights remain off.
- ON: Lights remain on continuously.
- AUTO (Dusk to Dawn): The photocell sensor automatically turns lights on at dusk and off at dawn.
- COUNTDOWN (2H/4H/6H/8H): Lights turn on at dusk and stay on for a set duration (2, 4, 6, or 8 hours). Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select the duration.
- TIMER: Allows setting specific ON and OFF times. Press ENTER to set the ON time, then ENTER again to set the OFF time. Use UP/DOWN arrows to adjust hours and minutes.
- DUSK ON TIMER OFF: Lights turn on at dusk and turn off at a specific set time. Press ENTER to set the OFF time. Use UP/DOWN arrows to adjust hours and minutes.
- TEST: Activates the lights for a short period (e.g., 1 minute) to verify connections and functionality.

6.3. Memory Function
The transformer features a memory function that retains your last selected settings even after a power outage, simplifying power restoration.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the transformer and light fixtures with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Photocell Sensor: Ensure the photocell sensor is clean and unobstructed for accurate dusk-to-dawn operation.
- Wiring Inspection: Regularly inspect all wiring for damage, fraying, or loose connections. Repair or replace damaged wiring immediately.
- Light Fixture Adjustment: Adjust the angle of the landscape lights as needed to achieve desired illumination.
8. Troubleshooting
- Lights Not Turning On:
- Check if the transformer is plugged into a working outlet.
- Verify the selected operating mode (e.g., not in OFF mode).
- Inspect all wiring connections for looseness or damage.
- Ensure the photocell sensor is clean and not obstructed if using AUTO or COUNTDOWN modes.
- Check for tripped circuit protection on the transformer. Reset if necessary.
- Circuit Protection Tripped: If the transformer automatically disconnects, it indicates an overload or short circuit. Disconnect all lights, reset the circuit breaker on the transformer, and reconnect lights one by one to identify the faulty fixture or wiring section.
- Inaccurate Dusk-to-Dawn Operation: Ensure the photocell sensor is not covered, dirty, or exposed to artificial light sources (e.g., porch lights) that might interfere with its detection of natural light levels.
