3.2 Control Panel

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through operating modes (Automatic, Night, Laundry Drying, Air Purification, Manual).
  • Humidity Setting Buttons (+/-): Adjusts the desired humidity level (30% to 80%).
  • Timer Button: Sets the auto-on or auto-off timer.
  • Display: Shows current humidity, temperature, and other indicators.
  • WiFi Indicator: Shows WiFi connection status.
  • Full Tank Indicator: Illuminates when the water tank is full.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
  2. Place the unit upright on a firm, level surface in the desired location.
  3. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the air inlet and outlet for optimal performance. Avoid placing it against walls or furniture that could obstruct airflow.
  4. The unit is suitable for rooms between 15 to 70 m².

4.2 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit is now ready for operation.

4.3 Continuous Drainage Setup

For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, you can set up continuous drainage:

  1. Locate the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper from the drainage port.
  3. Connect the included 60 cm drainage hose to the port, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink) ensuring it is sloped downwards for gravity drainage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the control panel to turn the unit on or off.

5.2 Mode Selection

Press the Mode button to cycle through the following operating modes:

  • Automatic Mode: The unit automatically maintains the humidity level between 30% and 80% based on the ambient conditions.
  • Night Mode: Operates quietly with dimmed display lights for undisturbed sleep. The full tank alert is silent.
  • Laundry Drying Mode: Maximizes dehumidification to quickly dry clothes.
  • Air Purification Mode: Activates the HEPA H13 filter to clean the air without active dehumidification.
  • Manual Mode: Allows you to set a specific target humidity level.

5.3 Humidity Setting

In Manual Mode, use the + and - buttons to set your desired humidity level between 30% and 80%.

5.4 Timer Function

Press the Timer button to set a delay for the unit to turn on or off. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the time in hours.

5.5 WiFi App Control

The Noaton DF 4220 can be controlled remotely via a dedicated smartphone application. This allows you to monitor humidity levels and adjust settings from anywhere.

  1. Download the dedicated Noaton app from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your dehumidifier to your home WiFi network.
  3. Once connected, you can control all functions and monitor the unit remotely.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The HEPA H13 filter and pre-filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain air purification efficiency.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Remove the rear air filter cover.
  3. Gently remove the pre-filter and HEPA filter.
  4. Clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it with warm, soapy water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation.
  5. The HEPA H13 filter is not washable and should be replaced every 6-12 months, depending on usage and air quality.
  6. Reinstall the filters and cover.

6.2 Emptying the Water Tank

When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and the full tank indicator will illuminate. To empty:

  1. Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  2. Pour out the collected water.
  3. Slide the empty tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

6.3 General Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
